You can search the internet using make and hp to find a serial number range. There should be a placard on the motor. It is in a difficult place to see and many forget it's there. See this video:

The friction nut probably needs to be tightened up or something is missing from that. Hello, The owner manuals that come with the boats are so basic that you could use anybody's manual. if you need help in anything just ask.

I think there is a nut holding the prop to the shaft and there might be a shear pin going through the prop and shaft. Remove those to get the prop off. It may have been on so long, there might be rust and other junk holding it on. Spray with penetrating oil and let sit to loosen the rust.
