I have just had a quick look at the specs for both units you mention - you didn't say whether you are running a marine base station or it is on board a vessel? In either case I would advocate keeping both units as separate as possible and using a dedicated psu for the autotuner and so only the transceiver output is the only connection you need to make to the autotuner other than connection to the antenna and to a good earth or ground plane. I also suspect the autotuner is intended to be fitted close to the antenna as it is "fully weatherproofed"...

The model Elite 5x from Lowrance is a bit out dated, I currently have one on my boat, That model would require GPS signal to be able to read MPH unfortunately it does not. Not sure if they made a GPS puck for that model. That wire lead set can and probably is being used on a few different models that support that function. Hope that helps.. BTW I have had mine since 2013 and still works great. There is a GPS speedometer available through LOWE boats with 4 INCH bezel. I am a LOWE boat dealer, General Manager at Beacon Marine in Junction City KS.

I don't know if this will be helpful, but I would check the compression and see if the rings are holding compression. If they are, that would indicate the cylinder should be drawing air in through the carb. If there is poor compression in the cylinder in question, that could mean that cylinder is not drawing in the air through the carb.

See this. At about 4 minutes, he shows where the bypass screw is located. The fuse could be an inline one and is probably located by the control switch for the tilt unit, but it may be located somewhere else, depends on who wired it up.

Reset use a soft reboot. Or hard reset make sure you back up all your settings on fish finder with chip or home computer. OK guys so the first thing you wanna do when resetting your unit whether it's soft reset or hard reset we're gonna start with a soft reset which is gonna save any GPS data anything like that so we're gonna head over hold the Power & Page button press the power button we're going to go over and press power button but I'm at the unit but up until you see the warning screen where you have to except the depth on reset Can see we still have our Saved waypoints. OK now I'm gonna show you how to do a hard reset again turn the unit off you should always use the power key never just flip the main power switch to off then press and hold the plus minus key as well as the power key let go of the power key keep holding plus minus until the warning screen comes up in a hard reset your going to delete all data on this year it's gonna be like we just bought it went to the store and bought it and cam home with know data whatsoever no settings nothing OK I warning screen has came up we can let go of her buttons and press except start demo. OK now I'm gonna show you how to do a hard reset again turn the unit off you should always use the power key never just flip the main power so that our unit is off then press and hold the plus & minus key as well as the power key don't let go with the power key holder plus minus until the warning screen comes up and a hard reset is going to delete all data on this year it's gonna be like-you just bought it went to the store and bought it and brought it home no data whatsoever no settings nothing OK or warning screen has came up we can let go over buttons and press except start demo now. OK so now you should not see any saved data so that's how you do a hard reset and a self reset. Load your Data card and shut off the power key. Then turn back on and follow screen steps.
