To make DIY dog muzzle, use any long strip of material that you can find like ribbon, maybe some oldpantyhose or rope. From the dog's nose, loop it under the chin and tie into aknot. Take both ends of the materialbehind the ears then tie into a bow. Make sure it does not hurt the dog in any way and that it appears toserve its' purpose.

The cheapest and most comfortable thing for your dog isprobably a large cardboard box with holes in it. Make sure there are ample holes so that itgets enough air. I would also weight thebox down with something heavy so that the dog can't scoot it across the floor.

In my opinion, the easiest way to ensure your pets are safe and happy whilst you are on holiday is to leave them with a friend or family member that you trust. If this isn't a possibility for, you then you may find that pet sitting is your best option. I recently found a man offering pet sitting in Essex and he delivered a really great service. The type of pet you have will determine how much your pet sitting will cost.

For cats, pet sitters will likely visit your house a couple of times a day to check on and feed your cat. Dogs will require more attention so they will probably have to stay with the pet sitter, or you could invite the pet sitter to stay at your property whilst you are away. This can be good if you are worried about leaving your house empty too.
