Circular saw locking bolt turns spindle
There is a button on the saw that holds the shaft still. Unplug the saw and put light pressure on this button while you slowly turn thr blade by hand. When it gets to the hole, the button will drop into the shaft. Keep it pressed down and unbolt the nut.

My Bosch 4000 table saw is making a clicking sound when running?
Question moved from Bosch Computer, to Bosch 4000 table saw.
Unplug the unit and turn the blade by hand. Check the blade is tight and running true. See if the blade is touching anything. If you can't see anything wrong there, it make be the carbon brushes in the motor.

Can you get a compression tester to check the compression? With the throttle wide open, the choke OFF, and the decompression valve (if so equipped) NOT engage, pull the engine over 3-5 times or until the gauge quits rising. You would like to see 90psi or more and if it is at 60 or less then it is most likely a scored piston and cylinder or bad rings. If the compression is good you need to check for spark. If it has good spark then it will most likely be fuel related. Often a complete tear down and rebuild of the carb is what is required.

Ridgid TS3660 10 INCH TABLE SAW TH100085 MOTOR. I need replacement part for thermal cutoff switch
I have been fixing table saws, compressors and other tools with similar motors for several years and I have never been able to find anyone who sells just the thermal switch on these motors. I usually use one from another motor that's burned out if I need one. You'll have to find a repair center that has motors they could take one of these switches out of and sell/give to you. Otherwise, it's a new motor to get one.
I have a makita 2703
First thing I would check are the Carbon Brushes. The are # 75 in the picture
Hope this answers all your questionsPlease remember to Rate/vote for any solution that helps you out. Thanks for using Fixya.

B & D #3051 worm drive saw: How do I access the return spring for blade guard?
Link,
Usually you will have to remove the blade guard to get access to that. There is usually a rubber stop with a screw going through it that you will have to remove, and a spiral spring clip on the inside of the hub of the blade guard that will also have to be removed and then you should be able to lift the blade guard off the saw. The spring will hook around the blade guard and the other end will hook to the saw housing. Hope this helps!
