Denon DN-S3500 will not read cd red light @ front keep flashing
Hi, firstly check that the discs are not too scratched and be aware that CD's read and play from the inner diameter to the outer diameter. CD players are really finicky devices that can be affected by the slightest bump and also temperature and humidity changes. Sometimes decks have a humidity sensor embedded in the circuitry. So, all that being said, firstly just turn the set on and let it sit for a while to heat up and dry out especially if it hasn't been used for a while. Then, take the lid off and check for broken drive belts that actually spin the disc. (You may be able to hear the disc spin without the top off). After that the laser itself will have to be cleaned, adjusted and the current checked. Lasers do wear out and sometimes increasing the current to the laser will make it read for a little while longer. You will need the schematic diagram and some decent equipment and knowledge to achieve this though. Since they both don't work, and you got them for free, they might be good experimental pieces but, in my experience they are never 'time' worthwhile repairs. Good luck. Cheers

Aiwa Z-L700 cassette player will not work but CD player is fine. Is there a simple solution please?
The complexity of the solution depends on the problem. The drive belt or pinch roller may be worn or have a hardened surface. If the tape doesn't turn at all or only very slowly in any function, verify that the tape drive motor is running and that the belt is turning the pulley(s). If the tape tends to tangle up, check the pinch roller. Sometimes cleaning the roller with a cotton swab dampened with rubbing alcohol will work, but if it's too hardened, you'll need to use rubber conditioner or replace it.
If nothing at all happens when you select the tape function, there may be an electrical problem such as a dirty contact on the function switch or a broken wire in the tape mechanism.
This is far from a comprehensive repair guide; it only covers the most common issues other than broken plastic parts. "Will not work" is too general to provide more than that. Cleaning the pinch roller and its drive pin can be done through an open cassette door; everything else most likely requires taking stuff apart, observing operation and perhaps making voltage measurements.

I have a JVC RX-501 reciver and 2 speakers Sony(200W). I start the reciver and After 3-4 seconds it S make a sound like" bun bun " that S all... After 1-2 minute again..
The sound you're hearing could be due to a variety of reasons, such as a loose connection, a malfunctioning component, or a power issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
Check the speaker connections: Ensure that the speaker wires are properly connected to the receiver and the speakers. Make sure that the positive and negative terminals are correctly aligned. You can also try disconnecting and reconnecting the wires to ensure a secure connection.
Check the power source: Ensure that the receiver is plugged into a working power outlet and that the power cord is securely connected to the receiver. You can also try plugging the receiver into a different power outlet to see if that resolves the issue.
Check the volume level: Ensure that the volume level on the receiver is not set too high. High volume levels can cause distortion and other issues.
Reset the receiver: Try resetting the receiver to its default settings. To do this, turn off the receiver and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug the receiver back in and turn it on.
If these suggestion don't help, you may have to seek professional repair.

Why is my clock radio stuck in WX-Alert mode?
I found an instruction manual for a C. Crane CC Pocket Radio that has a section on how to change the display/weather alert setting 1. Here are the steps to change the display setting:
Turn off the radio.
Press and hold the Display/Weather Alert button for 2 seconds.
The display will cycle through the following options: Time, Frequency, Alarm Time, Alarm Frequency, Weather Alert, and Off.
Release the button when the desired option is displayed.
If the above steps do not work, you can try resetting the radio to its factory defaults by following the instructions in the manual. Bear in mind, you likely would get a better answer if you supply brand and model of whatever you are asking about.
