Try this.

Take two flat blade screwdrivers and slip the blades between the planetary and the mixer body (on opposite sides) pry it off.

This has worked for me.

Because of the very high voltage on the output of the Inverter drive, I do not want to be responsible for your injury or death from you servicing this machine without proper training.

Sorry so late but the reason you need the kit is because the potentiometer (the knob that selects the time) is no longer part of the timer board. You need the pot,and board.I'm a hobart tech,if any other questions let me know.

If you have 24 VAC to the timer board and still have no display, then you need a new timer board.

that fault is a b_gd.there are 10 things that can cause this.1.start sw.momentary contacts not closing. 2.stop sw. contacts open. 3.bowl guard sw. open or malfunction(b_gd)displayed on timer.4.contactor 1con malfunction.5.timerboard malfunction.6.wiring incorrect from sr drive to motor or 1con.7.sr drive malfunction 8.1 con monitor from control drive disconnected from contactor coil9.encoder malfunction 10.motor malfunction. hopefully just your bowl guard switch is no good. hope this helps, dont forget to vote, monomoy

one would assume that if you get a 40 qt. bowl. you will most likely increase your batch size, correct, i would make do with what you have, that mixer was designed for a 30 qt. bowl, not a 40, hence the d 340 model, but the choice is yours. i would stay with what you have, monomoy
