I guess that the Time Zone you entered is for B.S.T. and the programme automatically compensates for Daylight saving time (i.e. one hour back) during our winter. Try setting time to B.S.T. and it will jump back to D.S.T. which is correct until the end of the month if you are in the u.k.

To change the time zone, press and hold the "-" button on the front of the display unit until a letter appears in the seconds display. While this letter is flashing press and release the "-" button until the letter for your time zone displays, P - Pacific, M (looks like nn) - Mountain, C - Central, E - Eastern

When you press the load button it applies the load to the battery to wipe the surface charge (if any). What you are looking at is the recovery voltage should be just over or just under 12 volts if the battery is any good (look at the colored scale it will tell you if the battery is OK, and needs charging bottom end of green & start of yellow is OK, if its in red its dead, or close enough to be treated that way. DON'T hold load on for more than 10 seconds as this generates lots of heat that can warp plates & discharge gas that can explode

According to the manual, it's all about the "DOWN" button.
Activating and deactivating the alarm:
To activate or deactivate the alarms, press the 'DOWN' button:
- Press once: Alarm 1 activates
- Press twice: Alarm 2 activates
- Press three times: Both alarms are activated
- Press four times: Both alarms are deactivated

That should do it...
