Mathematics the sum of two numbers is 20 if the product is 51, calculate the value of the Two numbers
Let's take it one step at a time.
First part of the sentence uses the word sum. Sum = Addition
Later, the word product. Product = Multiplicaton
Rephrasing, we want two number that add to 20 and multiply to 51.
Let a be the first number.
Let b be the second number.
a + b = 20
a x b = 51
You either solve this in your head, by trial and error. The next step I take is to factor the a x b or 51. The factors are 1, 3, 17, and 51.
Which of these numbers add to 20? 17 and 3.
Good luck,
Paul

What is the adjictive of convention of 1818
Hello, Usra -Do you mean "adjective", a word that modiies nouns and pronouns by describing a particular quality of the word being modified?Or, do you mean "objective", a word meaning an intended outcome?Either way, I recommned you visit a local public library or a university or college library, if you are a university or college student, and ask a librarian there to help you research and learn about the Convention of 1818.Note: Fixya.com is a website intended for asking and answering questions on how to go about REPAIRING THINGS and not one for researching and answering students' school assignments.Best wishes.

Tim subtract 2 from each side from x-2=9 is he correct in why
If Time subtracts 2 from each side of the equation, he ends up with:
x - 2 -2 = 9 -2
Simplifying, we get
x - 4 = 7
We have not solved for x, so he is incorrect.
He should add 2 to each side.
x - 2 + 2 = 9 + 2
x = 11
Good luck,
Paul
