Check your thermostat and heat pump owner's manuals. Thermostat may be programmed to require electric heat at higher temps. Also could be bad outdoor temperature sensor tied to Heat pump system controls (I had that problem) When was it installed? Warranty thermostat and or Heat pump? Call installer Thermostat programming is a headache. No help from installer? call customer service heat pump and thermostat. Some possibility of bad installer wiring. There is also a heat pump "defrost" cycle. Usually the Electric coil will turn on to compensate for the Defrost cycle which is just the standard air conditioning mode therefore moves heat from inside to the outside coil to melt the frost. This cycle may be occurring too often. I had that problem. Fixed under warrantee. Heat pumps are complex machines. The controls even more. You need a tech, hopfully you are still under warranty. First of all clean the jacks very thoroughly. If they are really dirty, tap gently with a hammer to release sand and dirt, hose thoroughly, repeat. Lubricate every part of the jack with lots of wd40. Check that the part of the jack that extends down has been fully released and pushed up into the upper portion of the jack. Then grasp the jack with both hands and tug it down. While the jack is pulled down, swing it up under the trailer until it clicks into place.

Hi Jeffrey! When the detector senses there is a larger amount of dirt being picked up the red light will come on. When the red light is on you should take extra cleaning strokes in the area until it changes to green. The red light may stay on for a considerable amount of time. This means that the carpet contains a high amount of dirt which is being removed by the cleaner. To decrease the features sensitivity to dirt, set the switch to the Reg (regular) position. Look for a rubber or plastic grommet on the cylinder in the jack. That is the fill hole.

The fuse usually used to protect any circuit, if the current flowing in the circuit exceeds the rating of the fuse it will blow out, thus protecting any device....Fuse rating are using in AMPERES...

There is either air in the system, not enough fluid in it, the valve that lowers it is not closed or the orings are bad.
