If the cv joint has split or broken there are two options available to you. One is to remove the axle and fit a genuine boot back on. It will cost the price of the boot plus around 2 hours labour. The other option is to get an aftermarket boot that is split and put it around the cv joint and clip and glue it back along the split. They are specially made and do a good job and costs the price of the boot and some of your time. There is no need to remove the axle to do it. Check at a good auto spares shop for a replacement cv boot kit

Possible that the internal battery has gone weak. So unless the unit is opened and checked the battery cannot be confirmed to be faulty.Also check the charging current to the battery. If not the charging section must be checked using a multimeter.

Return battery and price out a whole new drill. Its usually worth it.

Here is a copy of the instruction manual for your stapler.

1. Press end clip in, then up.

2. Pull out spring assembly.

3. Load staples into channel.

4. Reinsert spring assembly and

snap end clip into place.

EASILY DISASSEMBLED

FOR CLEANING:

1. Squeeze stapling end of hammer

tacker together, taking care to

avoid sharp staple.

2. Remove locking pin.

3. Press end clip in, then up.

4. Pull out spring assembly.

5. Remove staple channel.
6.Clear and reassemble

Sometimes a bit of the staple material will be sheared off and jam the hammer in its guide, keeping the tool compressed. On the business end of a PHT150 there is a notch in the hammer housing and a slot on the staple carrier. Most times a standard screwdriver can be used by sticking the tip straight into the slot and using the notch to leverage the the two apart. If not, you can clamp the hammer housing in a vise and, using the screwdriver in the carrier slot, tap away from the hammer housing to release the jamb.

You need to call a tech. It could be low on Freon, maybe sensing valve, may be dirty coils. There are a number of things it could be.

The bush/bearing behind the trimmer head is probably rusted or worn out and the motor is poling out and creating a short situation. Not much can be done so it may be best to junk it and get a new one.
