I purchased a 5 burner grill from Sam's I can't get the ignighter to lite grill Model # GR2210601-MM-00

Battery is not usually included. It is located behind the igniter button. It could have a piece of plastic that needs to be removed to make contact. Sometimes they add the battery and put a barrier in to keep it from draining before it is sold.

When i turn my gas on and light my grill flames shoot thru the lighter hole and the area around the on/off gas knob catches on fire.

There is most certainly something in your gas lines that is disconnected, rusted through or out of alignment. Find where that excess gas is and fix that point. Look for holes in gas lines or something that is slightly pulled apart.

New to Pit Boss. Do you cook on smoke or set the temp? We set the temp and there is no smoke.

I have a Traeger, not a Pit Boss, but assuming they work on the same theory, you generally want to smoke at 225-250. The "smoke" setting is usually much lower than that (for smoking cheeses and such). Once you set your temp, your auger will feed pellets into your fire box on a timed cycle determined by your heat setting or thermostat. So you'll actually only see smoke every once in awhile.

The flame goes out when I release the temp knob on my Masterbuilt Propane Smoker

You have to hold it down long enough for the safety thermocouple to heat up. If you hold it down for a slow count to ten and it still shuts off, then the thermocouple needs to be changed.

Did the igniter continuously sparks when the button was pressed?
If it did, the igniter usually has a battery.
Try twisting the igniter button counter clockwise it gain access to a battery compartment

I fixed a CharBroiler grill’s igniter this past weekend by replacing its AA battery.

I am wondering if there is a by law that can help me . I have asthma . The tenant below chain smokes under my windows and balcony out side . Is there a distance away from the building he has to be ?

Talk to him and let him know that it affects your health. If he refuses to listen, pour a bucket of water on him whatever he lights up.

Just bought a pit boss 4 in 1 grill. Can i use pellets instead of chips?

Pellets won't burn like chips, they need a constant source of heat. Would not recommend it.

Hi - my gas connection between one of my burners and the gas connection inside came undone - how do I get it reconnected?

It would be helpful if you posted the model number. There are several types of connections. Some are threaded and usually use a gas-compatible thread sealant compound or thread tape (be certain the sealant is specified for natural gas or propane!). Some are simply flared friction fittings, possibly with an internal gasket ring. Inspect the gasket if any, and if it is in good condition, just push it back together. If the metal is worn, corroded or cracked, replace the part. Some outdoor grills use hoses with fittings crimped on the end. If the fitting has come off, check the hose to see if it is cracked or dried up. If this is the case, replace the hose. You should probably replace the connector even if the hose is good; the crimp is not trustworthy if it has come apart. Less common is welded or brazed connections. If this has come apart, have it professionally repaired or buy a new connector assembly

Gas is not going thru my thane q bbq and its not burning

take soap in water and brush it on all valves and and hose connections to ensure there are no leaks. animals may have eaten the hoses of the BBQ, If your sure the tank is not empty, next clean out all debris from burners, especially where gas exits into burner, you may need to take them apart. These burners can clog from grease, or if left unattended for period of time, even insects into the cavities. Take care that gas is off during cleaning. Also ensure that valves are not clogged, sometimes simply blowing into valves can clear debris. Good Luck
