My golf cart has six, 6 volt batteries connected in a chain, positive to negative throughout. Can I connect an auxiliary light of some type to this power source?

the cart is wired for 36 volts operation so you would need a 36 volt bulb or you could put the wiring for a 12 volt bub across the terminals of 2 batteries so the negative wire will be on a negative terminal of the first battery and a fused positive wire will be on the positive of the second battery the batteries are connected in series so the sum total of the voltage is the sum of all of the batteries by selecting 2 batteries in series you are using the sum voltage of 2 batteries

Yam golf cart just clicks won't move!

Likely dirty contacts at the foot feed pedal AKA throttle pedal. The solenoid engages (clicks) but the dirty contacts keep the current from passing through to the electric motor. 1) disconnect battery, 2) Remove the pedal assembly and clean the contacts. 3) Reassemble and connect battery.

I have a 2010 yamaha golf cart, has brand new batteries, and the batteries drain by nine holes,is it the voltage regulator? or something else

Make sure the batteries are fully charged. if your cart has it's own charger it may not fully charge. I would purchase a portable one and make sure they fully charge then you would know whether the cart charger is working.

I have a 1994 club car golf cart , backfires , ******* gas , spark plug gets black with what do you think I should do to rectify my problem , thank you , roger

You may have a weak spark or overly rich fuel mixture; your mixture should be 32:1 doing break-in period and then normally 128:1 if you running a richer (more oil) your engine will run lean and be hot thus the spark plug will be dark/black and if running too hot will melt the electrodes or burn a hole in the piston.

With new batteries in a golf cart, what is wrong when you plug in the battery charger, it clicks, but does not charge?

Those chargers sense the battery condition and polarity. Check and make sure that the cables are in good condition and they are connected to the proper terminals.

I own a Yamaha 2011 YDREX 48v golf cart. How do you troubleshoot the controller with a voltmeter. Once you buy them, you can't return it. Thanks,

I don't know how to check that controller, I always check everything else then replace the controller. I start by checking to see if the solenoid is working and the reverse buzzer. If they are then I check the motor. You have to disconnect the main batteries then disconnect the four wires off the motor. Take a jumper wire and connect to A1 and F1 then to 16 volts. Another jumper wire will connect to A2 and F2 then to16 volts. One should be negative and the other positive. In this setup we are applying the same voltage to both coils of the motor at the same time. If the motor turns it's good.

When accelerating in my 2008 Yamaha electric golf cart after letting up on the gas pedal you hear a grinding noise . It does not happen when you were moving only when you are coasting.

Sorry to tell you this but the 08 has a problem with the gears in the differential wearing slack in them. As long as they are engaged- no noise- but let up on the gas and you get gear noise.

07 Yamaha G29 golf cart has a bad TPS. With a bad TPS, would the main solenoid still operate? Reverse buzzer is not working as well. Trying to determine if the controller is bad.

Should still operate solenold. You also have a stop switch in the floorboard, it will connect when pressing on pedal.
