Pour penetrating oil down the upper shaft if possible. Remove the allen scews from the base with 5/32 T handle wrench. Remove the round snap ring on the motor shaft. Use vise grips or channel lock to secure the shaft. Twist the blade off and inspect it. It most likely will need to be replaced as the key that slides on the shaft will have deteriorated.

Left hand thread perhaps.

Hi, If you reach the top of the lid, there might be engraved instructions on how to remote the lid. Sometimes you just need to twist it counterclockwise before pulling out the lid. If you still have issues after doing these things, please refer to the product manual via the table of contents to see instructions for removing the lid. Thank you.
