How do I remove the blade unit from Magimix cuisine 5100?
Firstly, press the STOP button. Then turn the lid in a clockwise direction and lift-off. Carefully remove the blade and inner bowl/bowls (depending on what combination you are using). Finally turn the main bowl clockwise to unlock it from the motor unit and lift off.
How to clean the handle of a Magimix
The handle of a magi mix cannot be removed. This is how you can clean the muck out of the handle.
There are two openings at the top of the handle. One next to the bowl and the other is at the top of the handle grip. Pour dishwashing liquid (as much as possible) into the two openings. You will see it flowing into the handle.
Then you will need a 'K'archer (or similar) water blaster. Direct the jet into the two openings. This should be done with the jet almost in contact with the handle to achieve maximum pressure. The dirt will start to come out. Repeat this cleaning operation with the dishwashing liquid and water jet (perhaps 5 times) until the handle interior is clean. There are 4 small drain holes on the sides of the handle into which dish washing liquid can be poured and jetted out.
I know this method works, as I have done it successfully on my wife's Magimix!

I need ginger pickle recipe please
- Peel and grate the ginger, and also grate jaggery. Add water to tamarind and boil it till tamarind becomes soft.
- Take a kadai add 2 tbs oil and fry the grated ginger for few minutes or till it changes colour to light brown.
- Then grind together garlic, ginger, turmeric, jaggery, chilli powder, salt and tamarind pulp into a fine thick paste don't add water, grind it with tamarind pulp.
- Heat a kadai and add 10 tbs of oil to it. Now add mustard seeds, chanadal as well as urad dal, and when the mustard seeds splutter add the ground paste to it and fry for a few seconds. This pickle goes well with idlis, dosas, and also with rice.
- Shelf life - 2-3 weeks.
