E5 brand new is either a bad MCB or loose connection. Check the connection on the controller ( red plug ) sometimes they use to much glue and it pulls the connect out when it drys.

The E5 Error is specific to the TR2000e and the TR3000e treadmills.

The error code triggers when an object is detected by the folding sensors on the underside of the treadmill. The folding sensors look like small trapezoids: two on the back and two on the front. Make sure there are no foreign objects underneath the treadmill. If no objects are present, inspect the sensors for damage. If the problem persists, please contact customer service.

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon () > your device image.
  2. Tap device lock.
  3. Find the option to set a 4-digit PIN code.
  4. Are you getting an error message when entering the new code? If so, could you share a screenshot of it? Try logging out from the app, restart your phone and then log back in. Retry the setup a new code process and see if it works.

My treadmill has a little steel rod that flips in and holds the bed up' When you want the bed down you pull the rod back out and it lets it come back down.

First thing to do with these folding vision fitness treadmills is
REPLACE THE MAINS SUPPLY CABLE
They were supplied with very poor quality cable that cause issues like juddering stopping and speed fluctuations.

When plugged in and powered up, the controller (under the motor cover) will have a red LED lit to show the power is on. If it is on, you have a harness or console issue.
Wire harnesses are frequently damaged when machines are assembled or moved, usually at the bottom of the console upright.
If the LED is not on, check the outlet for power, check the power switch, it may be defective, if they are good, replace the controller. Very unusual to have a dead controller in an Icon machine, but it does happen.

You need a new control board - around 65 UK pounds from Reebok (in uk) and pretty easy to fix. Remove 4 screws from plastic motor cover and remove cover. Loosen the circuit board hold-down screws (x2) then take phone/ipad photographs of board connections to aid re-assembly. Disconnect the 6 or 7 leads from their spade connectors. Fit new board, reconnect the leads in the same place using the photographs then, fit the two board retaining screws and replace the cover and 4 screws. Job done!

If it is new, you may want to call the customer service number in the manual or set up paperwork so as not to void your warranty.
