If you have had this reel apart, your anti-reverse pawl is not on the anti-reverse wheel.. those can be easily missed

Hi Bobbi... there can be a myriad of issues why your reel won't cast... Too many to list here... Find a local "pro" fisherman.. they can help you much easier than trying on here...

The stop is 180 degrees off..its inside the body...

You mean how to tie a knot around the spool so it won't slip...two double overhand knots... sometimes a SMALL piece of cellophane tape will help.
