Is this the vintage 112 casting reel?.. You can use almost any size line that the reel will comfortably handle... too small and you might lose fish..and take miles of line to fill..... and .. too big and the reel will not function efficiently..its almost a judgement call.. use common sense..If you need a very small line.. you should use a "backer" to keep from using 1000's of feet of line to fill the spool..... and .. If you need a very heavy line... maybe a bigger reel is in the future... hope this helps..
Remove the left side plate and set the little plastic things ( I think they are yellow) so they are against the inside..they should kinda snap inwards and stay there...
Found a video ( not well made but it shows how to access the brake system).. you will see the SIX little yellow plastic brake adjusters... start with moving FOUR (4) - opposites of each other - of them inwards towards the spool shaft.. they should "click" inwards and stay there...CAST carefully the next time.
.. how to access brakes on abu garcia orra sx and revo lp baitcast reels
Everyone.. PLEASE read the instructions and the manual that comes with ALMOST everything.. it will help you enjoy, and make the most of whatever you have purchased...
Patience and common sense go along way.....
