South Africa has had issues with these cards but assured recipients that there would be no problem after Dec 31st. expired cards. Apparently it is not the case. Be aware there was a scam going on at the same time where thieves posting as Sassa agents offer to replace expired cards with new ones ..Took old cards and stole funds.
