Delonghi Ecam 23.450S heating up please wait
'heating up please wait...' and that's it, suggests a fault with either a sensor or a control board... and in today's market, who could ever guess which?
I'm sorry this is far more philosophical than technical. I really hate to say this. Still, if any half-way modern appliance has given you 15 years' service, what more would you have expected?
Traditionally, you would have taken any faulty gizmo to a local repair expert, who would have fixed it for a charge greatly less than any replacement cost.
Today, it's almost inconceivable that the cost of even diagnosing, let alone fixing any fault would be comparable to the cost of replacing (whatever) with a new one.
Top Burr Stuck on Smart Grinder Pro - How can i remove it ?
Safety Tip: To prevent any potential mishaps, ensure sure your grinder is fully off and unplugged before using it. Also, if you haven't used it in a while, make sure it's cool to the touch.
Let the Bean Hopper open. Take off the bean hopper from your grinder's top. This is going to reveal the top burr.
Take the Upper Burr Carrier Off: An upper burr carrier is usually used to hold the top burr in place. It is necessary to take out the upper burr carrier. Depending on the kind of your grinder, the precise procedure may change, but generally speaking, it entails undoing a few screws or tabs that secure it. In general, follow these steps:
a. Check the upper burr carrier for any visible screws or tabs. Usually, they're close to the edges.
b. To release the tabs or loosen the screws, use the proper equipment (usually a screwdriver). To prevent breaking the grinder, use gentleness.
c. After the upper burr carrier is released from its locking mechanism, carefully pull or slide it out.
Lift Out the Top Burr: The top burr can now be removed after the upper burr carrier has been taken out. The burr might be secured in place by tiny clips or notches, so proceed with caution and gentleness.
Clean and Maintain: After removing the top burr, you can give the grinder and its parts a thorough cleaning. Make sure you adhere to the cleaning and maintenance guidelines provided by the manufacturer. This often entails cleaning the grinder's parts, brushing off coffee grinds, and correctly reassembling it.
Reassemble: Carefully put the grinder's parts back together in the opposite order after cleaning. Verify that the upper burr carrier is correctly positioned and that all screws and tabs are firmly in place.
Plug in and Test: After the grinder has been put back together, plug it in and make sure it is operating properly.
I have a Magnifica S machine and the milk steamer flow is diminished compared to a few months ago and it seams like steam is not coming out of the bottom of the machine. Any ideas?
Here are some possible reasons why the milk steamer flow is diminished and steam is not coming out of the bottom of the machine:
Clogged steam wand: The steam wand might be clogged with milk residue, which can restrict the flow of steam. Try cleaning the steam wand with a damp cloth or a pipe cleaner.
Faulty steam valve: The steam valve might be faulty or damaged, which can cause a decrease in steam pressure. In this case, you may need to replace the valve.
Blocked milk frother: The milk frother might be blocked with milk residue, which can prevent the milk from frothing properly. Try cleaning the milk frother with a damp cloth or a pipe cleaner.
Faulty milk frother: The milk frother might be faulty or damaged, which can cause a decrease in milk flow and prevent proper frothing. In this case, you may need to replace the milk frother.

I need more temperature from my espresso machine
Often these temperature differences are solved by descaling. Do never use vinegar. One can buy citric acid crystals or powder (not the same as lemon juice) and dissolve that chemical in water. I buy it in the Chinese Mall. Do not make a too strong acid. Shops sell maintenance powder which is the same but that is quite expensive. Let the acidic water go in and through the coffee maker until it looks clear. Next rinse with water for quite a number of runs. You may see how strong the citric acid that you make is by descaling something else and wait for about an hour. Another acid to be used in coffee makers is lactic acid. Lactic acid is bought as a cleaning agent. Also very strong and to be diluted with water.
The error code close door does not go off even if the service door was closed on DeLonghi Magnifica coffee machine
According to the De'Longhi UK website, the error message "Close Door" could be caused by two issues :
The brewing unit is not installed properly in the unit. You can try turning the unit off, remove and reinstall the brew unit, and then turn the unit back on to see if it reset itself.
The latch on the service door has coffee build up and is restricted from moving freely. Please clean the latch area and make sure the door closes.
If neither of these solutions work, you may need to contact DeLonghi support for further assistance.
How do you increase the temperature to make the coffee come out hotter on the jura A1
Usually descaling the heating reservoir takes care of that. You know best if this servicing is required but perhaps already after a couple of years. Don't use vinegar. Suitable, apart from descaling powder supplied by the manufacturer, are diluted lactic acid and citric acid but the commonly used citric acid is not lemon juice, it is a white powder or it consists of small crystals and is to be dissolved in water. Note that the water will taste acidic even after rinsing and use for a couple of times since those acids are very (!) strong. Do not breath in the fumes that come out of the coffee maker and use the - pump water only - function when your machine has one. This also serves protection against frost. For me it is pressing two buttons combined. Descaling is done, being applied, when water comes out clear.
