Krups GVX2-12 Electric Burr... Problem:

First, unlock and unscrew the upper burr carrier. Clean and check the upper burr by gently running your finger over the teeth in the cutting direction. It shoild feel moderately sharp. If it feels very blunt, look at the teeth under a good light. If you see a substantial "flat spot" at the top of the teeth, probably the burr set will need replacement.
For the bottom burr, clean carefully its teeth, and the entire area in which it is housed. Include the outlet orofice as well. You may find a lot of oily deposits within here, so just clean them off as best as possible.
When all is clean, insert the top burr holder back in place. Screw it down until both burrs touch, then back it off (say) 1/4 turn, and lock.
Put some beans in the top, and switch on. Adjust the top burr until the desired grind is obtained.
The ground coffee should feel like a coarse sand when close to the desired grind size.

I'm helping a neighbour with their k111 coffee maker. The on/off light is red? Does it change to green when ready? The line with ** is green. No water is coming through the pod. It is also very noisy.

The K111 coffee maker's red light typically indicates it's in the heating process. When ready, the light may change to green. The green line with ** suggests that it's in the brewing stage. If there's no water flow through the pod and it's noisy, check if the water reservoir is properly filled and securely placed. If the issue persists, consider contacting the manufacturer's customer support for assistance.

On/off button doesn't start flashing for descaling on Illy Coffee Machine X7.1

You will know the machine wants to be descaled when the red alert triangle is blinking (lower right part of control pad) 1) Machine must be OFF and cool in order to descale the machine! 2) Fill the water container to MAX with very warm faucet water. 3) Add a packet of Illy / Urnex Dezcal or similar citric acid based descaler to the water, stirring it in until dissolved. 4) Replace the water container into your Illy Francis Francis X7.1 Iperespresso machine. 5) Place a 1L (minimum) plastic catch bowl (or other suitable container) under the brew head AND frothing wand, which should be pointed toward the center of the stage under the brew head (as in video above). 6) Power the machine ON. 7) IMMEDIATELY depress and hold only the BREW (coffee cup symbol) until the machine emits THREE SHORT BEEPS, followed by ONE LONG BEEP. Release the BREW button after the long beep. 8) Press the BREW button again, as you would when brewing a cup of espresso. 9) The machine will begin to PULSE, and the STEAM BUTTON will blink. The machine will alternate between pulsing water through the brew head opening and the frothing wand. This will continue until the water container is EMPTY. Be ready to remove the water container, and IMMEDIATELY refill it with cool (Brita filtered or distilled is best) water, and replace it as quickly as possible. The machine WILL NOT STOP THE DESCALING CYCLE, so replace the water container as quickly as you can. You will probably need to empty the catch bowl at least once or twice during this procedure, and the water will be VERY HOT, so use caution! 10) The machine will continue to pulse between the brew head opening and the frothing wand. 11) The machine will stop pulsing at some point during this second tankful, and the BREW button will begin to BLINK, with an alternating BEEP between blinking. If there is very little water left in the water container, fill it up with cool water again. Empty your catch bowl if it is full and you haven't already done so! Once everything is back in place, press the blinking / beeping BREW button, which will begin to rinse the machine through. 12) The machine may repeat Step 11 more than once! 13) The machine should now come out of DESCALING CYCLE on its own, with the red POWER button illuminated, along with the blue BREW button being on and solid. 14) Run one or two BREW cycles, with cool, filtered water. 15) Run the STEAM cycle for a few moments, as you would when frothing for a beverage, to ensure no descaler remains in the frothing wand. • Your Illy Francis Francis X7.1 Iperespresso machine is now descaled! see less

My Cuisinart CCJ-500P1 won't turn on how to repair

To repair it, one must find out what the cause is. Do some fault finding first; check there is power at the switch and the motor has continuity etc. When you have found the faulty part, then you can replace the faulty part or repair the break in the cable etc.

My Jura Capresso E 8 is stuck in open tap filling system. I open tap it says filling system, it says close tap, when I close the tap it goes back into open tap. Float valve looks fine, water is moving

Open the tap with frother spout off. This happened to mine and I took the frother tip off and opened tap with tip off. Water filled and I closed tap...Machine returned "Ready". I heated water in microwave for three minutes- placed frother tip in hot water and all kinds of gunk came out. Lesson learned- Do a thorough cleaning of frother by immersing it in very hot water at least once monthly- even if you don't use it

Why does my coffee maker Capresso Team GS leak water?

Hello, what I have found is the most common cause of water leaking out of the bottom of the capresso team coffee maker is a leaking silicone hose that runs to the boiler (See the photo below with the split in the hose). The replacement silicone hose needs to be safe for beverage dispensing, food & dairy processing, taste and odor-free, with a temperature range of -75? to 350? F. All you need is a sharp pick, a phillips screwdriver, and a pair of needle nose pliers. Remove the four rubber pads on the bottom using the pick. Use the screwdriver to remove the six screws holding the bottom plate on. Remove and replace "BOTH" hoses using the needlenose pliers to pinch the hose clamps. Better to play it safe while you have it apart. If one is bad the other is likely not far behind. I hope this helps. acccadfd-0d5d-4c31-b1b9-a56192db9bc2.jpg

La Cimbali Junior has no output at the grouphead.

Their are four posible reasons for above problem as follows.
First the Vibarating pump not creating pressure, usaly if here the sound it is pressing but not always. You can loose the pipe nut after the pump to see if you have any pressure after you press the coffee button. Be carefull with the water leaking.
Second the coffee solenoid valve that is on the grouphead might be stuck from dry coffee, it can be removed and cleaned with hot water and a wire brush.
Third the coffee group shower and inside round dish might also blocked from dry coffee, remove it and clean it.
Finnaly the more difficult problem might be that heat excanger that is bettween the headgroup and boiler is full off scale. So you must remove group and clean both group and heat excanger and the copper pipes to them.
This problem is the more difficult to be performed however is the most posible.
Good luck,

Delonghi Ecam 23.450S heating up please wait

'heating up please wait...' and that's it, suggests a fault with either a sensor or a control board... and in today's market, who could ever guess which? I'm sorry this is far more philosophical than technical. I really hate to say this. Still, if any half-way modern appliance has given you 15 years' service, what more would you have expected? Traditionally, you would have taken any faulty gizmo to a local repair expert, who would have fixed it for a charge greatly less than any replacement cost. Today, it's almost inconceivable that the cost of even diagnosing, let alone fixing any fault would be comparable to the cost of replacing (whatever) with a new one.
