just had Mike boom on Bose A20 Pilot headset get loose and drop low. Read internet posts, which said a spring clip gets stretched. Need it fixed now. So I took a spool of black threat and wound dry thread tightly under the mounting boom cap - kinda like dental floss. Did about 30 wraps. Fixed quickly and at no cost! Can't see it either.

First, clean all the connectors associated with this board. Over time they can get corrosion built up on them and they stop conducting. Use De-OXIT or Isopropyl alcohol to clean them. You may have to clean the deviation control on the board or replace C* and C10. I doubt if the microphone amplifier, Q1, is bad but if you can check the voltages around it, that might give you a clue. This problem shouldn't be too hard to fix as the rest of the radio is working. Wire color codes are Black and Red are switch to enable audio circuitry on remote device (Push to Talk Switch, Usually in transmitters), White and Green are audio signal and shield. The problem is in the audio output chip usually bolted to the inner chassis. Sometimes the chip developes a hairline crack, replacement recommended.

It can be a few things but first try resetting your CPU, while your transceiver is off, hold down the UP & DOWN buttons simultaneously then turn the transceiver back on, now it should be reset to the factory default settings

It depends on what model.

White wire is RX or receive control. Red wire is TX or transmit control. Green wire is audio lead. Bare wire is audio shield or common.If for some reason your M2 has a different color code see the mic cable to M2 board connection.From the tab side it is audio(green), TX (red), shield, RX ( white).

Try this With the scanner off, press and hold the 2, 9, and HOLD keys. While still holding them down, power on the scanner. Continue to hold the 2, 9, and HOLD keys until the display says CLEAR.
