I have a sony dcr-dvd108. Can I get some help?

It sounds like your Sony DCR-DVD108 camcorder may have a problem with the battery or the power connection. For the battery issue, you can try replacing the battery with a new one that is compatible with your camcorder. The Sony NP-FP50 or NP-FP70 are compatible batteries for your DCR-DVD108. You can purchase them online or from a camera store. As for the "Movie Disabled" message, it may be caused by the type of disc you are using. The Sony DCR-DVD108 camcorder is compatible with DVD-R and DVD-RW discs, but it may not be compatible with all brands of discs. You may need to try using a different brand of disc to see if that resolves the issue. Additionally, make sure that the camcorder is set to the correct recording mode, such as video mode, and that there is enough space on the disc to record the video. If none of these solutions work, there may be a problem with the camcorder itself, and it may need to be repaired or replaced.

I need help with my GE CG818 Camcorder

If you're experiencing an issue with the picture on your GE CG818 Camcorder scrolling up while trying to focus, it could be caused by a few different things. Here are some things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Clean the tape head: Dirt and debris on the tape head can cause issues with the picture quality. Try cleaning the tape head with a head-cleaning tape or a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol.
  2. Try a different tape: It's possible that the issue is with the tape itself. Try using a different tape to see if the problem persists.
  3. Check the playback settings: Make sure the playback settings on the camcorder are set correctly. Check the manual for instructions on how to adjust the playback settings.
  4. Call a professional: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, it's best to call a professional to diagnose and fix the issue. They can safely and effectively troubleshoot the issue and get your camcorder running properly.
Remember to always prioritize your safety when attempting to troubleshoot any issues with your electronics. If you're unsure about how to proceed, it's best to seek professional help to avoid causing any further damage.

How do I get my Samsung sc d 353 mini DV tape recordings on computer

To transfer the recordings from your Samsung SC D353 Mini DV tape to your computer, you'll need to follow these steps:

1. Connect the camcorder to your computer: Use a FireWire (also called IEEE 1394) cable to connect your Samsung SC D353 Mini DV camcorder to your computer. Most computers have a FireWire port, but if yours doesn't, you can purchase a FireWire adapter card.
2. Turn on the camcorder: Turn on your Samsung camcorder and set it to VCR mode.
3. Open the video capture software: On your computer, open the video capture software that came with your operating system (e.g. Windows Movie Maker, iMovie on Mac) or a third-party video capture software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) that supports Mini DV tape.
4. Start recording: In the video capture software, select the option to capture video from a DV device. Click the Record button in the software and then press Play on the camcorder to begin playing the Mini DV tape. The video should be captured and recorded onto your computer.
5. Save the video: Once the video has been captured, you can edit it if necessary and then save it to your computer in the desired format.

Note: If you do not have the original video capture software, it is recommended that you search and download compatible software before beginning the transfer process. Additionally, make sure your computer has enough storage to store the transferred files.

I have a JVC GR - 65 moviemaker. when I try to export the footage from my tapes to digital. the footage goes all glitchy and stutters not being able to see a clear view of the video any ideas ?

It's possible that the issue is related to a problem with the tape itself, the camcorder's playback mechanism, or the connection between the camcorder and the device you're using to digitize the footage. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Clean the camcorder's playback head: Over time, the playback head on your camcorder can get dirty or clogged, which can cause problems when you're trying to digitize your footage. You can clean the playback head using a cleaning cassette or by using a soft cloth and rubbing alcohol to gently clean the head. Be sure to follow the instructions in your camcorder's manual.
  2. Check the condition of the tape: Your footage may be glitchy or stuttering because of a problem with the tape itself. Check the tape for any damage, such as wrinkles, tears, or warping. If you notice any damage, you may need to try a different tape.
  3. Use a different playback device: It's possible that the issue is related to the connection between your camcorder and the device you're using to digitize the footage. Try using a different device, such as a different computer or a different capture card, to see if that helps.
  4. Check your capture settings: Make sure that the settings on the device you're using to capture the footage are set correctly. Check the resolution, frame rate, and other settings to make sure they match the settings on the camcorder.
  5. Try a different cable: The cable you're using to connect your camcorder to your capture device may be faulty. Try using a different cable to see if that helps.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be worth consulting with a professional technician who can diagnose and repair the issue with your camcorder or provide other troubleshooting options.

Panasonic NV-MC10 & MC30 not working properly after few tries

It sounds like both of your analog camcorders are experiencing various issues, which may be due to their age and condition. It's hard to determine exactly what the problem is without examining the cameras in person, but some possible issues could include worn out internal components, damaged tape transport mechanisms, or corroded connectors. One thing you can try is cleaning the connectors and contacts on both cameras and their accessories with a small amount of rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab. This may help improve connectivity and address some issues related to power and signal transmission. If cleaning the connectors doesn't work, you may need to take the cameras to a professional technician for repair or servicing. Keep in mind that finding replacement parts for older analog cameras can be difficult and costly, so repair may not be a viable option in some cases. Overall, it's important to remember that these cameras are old and may not function as expected. If you're looking to experiment with analog technology, you may want to consider purchasing newer or better-maintained equipment to ensure a smoother experience.

Using vidbox to transfer dv to my 2015 IMAC tapes record but no audio - what do i do

It's possible that the DV clean you performed on your JVC camcorder has affected the audio during playback on your iMac. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the audio settings on your iMac: Make sure that the audio settings on your iMac are configured correctly. Check that the volume is turned up and that the audio output is set to the correct device.
  2. Check the audio cable: Make sure that the audio cable you are using to connect your JVC camcorder to your iMac is not damaged and is securely plugged in on both ends.
  3. Try a different audio cable: If the audio cable is damaged or faulty, try using a different one to see if that resolves the issue.
  4. Check the audio on the original tapes: Check the audio on the original tapes to see if the issue is present there as well. If the audio is present on the tapes but not on the copied files on your iMac, then the issue may be with the copying process or the file format.
  5. Check the file format: Make sure that the file format you are using to copy the video files supports audio. Some file formats, such as MP4, may not support audio.
  6. Try a different video player: Try playing the copied video files on a different video player to see if the audio works. If it does, then the issue may be with the video player you are using on your iMac.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that the DV clean process on your JVC camcorder may have damaged the audio during playback.

How to remove a tape out of a canon es55 that will not power up even if the battery is charged

If you suspect that your JVC camcorder may have been damaged by plugging in the wrong power cord, it's possible that the cassette mechanism may not release as intended. However, you can try the following steps to manually release the cassette:
  1. Turn off the camcorder: Make sure the camcorder is turned off and unplugged from any power source.
  2. Locate the cassette release button: The cassette release button is usually located on the side or bottom of the camcorder near the cassette compartment. It may be labeled "eject" or have a symbol that looks like a triangle with an arrow pointing up.
  3. Press the cassette release button: Press and hold the cassette release button for several seconds to see if it releases the cassette. You may need to press it firmly or use a pointed object like a pen or pencil to press it.
  4. Manually release the cassette: If the cassette release button does not work, you can try manually releasing the cassette. Look for a small hole on the camcorder near the cassette compartment. This hole may be labeled "emergency release" or have a symbol that looks like a triangle with an arrow pointing down. Insert a straightened paperclip or similar object into the hole and press gently to release the cassette.
If you are unable to manually release the cassette, it's possible that the camcorder has been damaged beyond repair.

Question about Sony Handycam CCD-TRV85

The CR2025 is to hold memory, but it may also run the operating system memory. All the batteries need to be good. Also try cleaning the main battery contacts and those inside the camera. Check that there is power coming out of the mains adapter and the level battery power using a multimeter. After 10 years the battery will likely be defective.

My Canon ZR-40 Mini DV Camcorder only has a blank screen when in VCR mode. Cannot use any VCR functions. When I try to record, it says 'No Card' but there is no slot for an SD card at all.

It's possible that the video head is dirty or damaged, which is preventing the camcorder from playing back tapes. You may need to clean or replace the video head. As for the "No Card" message, it may be a default message that appears when the camcorder cannot detect a tape. Check that the tape is inserted correctly and try a different tape to see if the issue persists. If the problem continues, it may be a more serious issue with the camcorder that requires professional repair.

JVC Everio GZ-MG21U has a blank screen. The LCD works but not when trying to record

If the LCD screen on your JVC Everio GZ-MG21U works but goes blank when you try to record, it could indicate a problem with the camera's image sensor or the connection between the sensor and the LCD screen. This can be caused by a variety of issues, including a faulty sensor or a damaged cable. To troubleshoot this issue, you can try resetting the camera to its default settings, making sure that the battery is fully charged, and checking the camera's cable connections. If these steps do not resolve the problem, it may be necessary to have the camera serviced by a professional technician.

RCA CC604 VHCS Camcorder. My old camcorder won't record?

Question edited into written English with punctuation. The lens isn't black, the viewfinder is black. Connect it to a television or computer and see if playback and live recording is working. In that way you know the optics and the electronics are working. The viewfinder is a small LCD display screen with a magnifying glass in front of it. Take it to your local camera shop, they will know someone that still repairs these camcorders. I was hoping to find a free PDF manual as I wondered if there is a switch or a setting to turn OFF the viewfinder? https://www.google.com/search?q=RCA+CC604+VHCS+Camcorder+manual ..
