You can try Goo Gone (Home Depot, etc.) or nail polish remover.

Sand it smooth as you would any wood surface.

When it is unused; store it tip down. If it is used store it tip up.

Use a power sander. Sand it smooth. The new adhesive should stick just as well to the glue areas.

As reported in the information leaflet, E-6000 can be removed using nail polisher remover, which contains acetone. Here an extract from the leaflet: "Uncured E-6000 can be cleaned by using small amounts of solvents such as Acetone, Tolulene or Naphtha. Cured E-6000 requires scraping or cutting away product with sharp knife and use of mineral spirits to soften product." Hardened E-6000 may be more difficult to remove.
