this error is a part that caps the printer head when noy being used needs seviceing

Go to brother.com and under support menu you should see downloads. Enter your printer model, and your operating system and presto! drivers.

Turn off the printer and open the printer back door. Use a spot light and give look inside properly. Make sure there no paper. Some time small part of the paper creates the problem. So you can do one thing after open the back door, top side etc make the printer upside down etc. So if anything inside that's will come out. After cleaning again connect it with PC and turn on. Now give a look. If you face same problem then Un-install the printer driver and software from the PC. Then restart the PC and Printer both. Now connect the Printer with PC via USB and install again the driver & software. Then try to print and let me know the result.

Either your machine's
primary corona wire for printing may be dirty, or the sending party's fax scanner may be dirty. Clean
your primary corona wire. I recommend placing the drum unit on a drop cloth or large disposable paper
to avoid spilling and scattering toner.
1. Clean the primary corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the tab from right to left several times.
2. Return the tab and snap it into the Home position, (Caution: If the tab is not at the Home position, printed pages may have vertical stripes).
3. Reinstall the drum unit into the machine.
4. Close the front cover.
5. Plug in the power cord first, and then plug in the telephone cord.
or ask the sender to make a copy to see if the problem is with the sending machine.
Try receiving from another fax machine.
If the problem continues, call Brother Customer
Service at: 1-800-284-4329 (in USA) or 1-877-BROTHER (in Canada)

You can also try these steps below

2 Reset the drum counter if you have already changed the drum recently. Open the device's front cover and press the button labeled "Clear," then close the cover and press the "1" button on the device's control panel.

3 Pull down on the top of the device's front cover. Slide the print cartridge assembly out of the inside of the printer and place it on a scratch piece of paper.

4 Depress the lever on the right side of the assembly and separate the toner cartridge from the drum assembly. Remove the new drum unit from its aluminum bag and snap the toner cartridge into it.

5 Place the print cartridge assembly back into the device and keep the front cover open. Press the "Clear" button, then press "1." Close the front cover once the device's screen reads "Accepted."

While there are many ways to prevent Brother printer error code "41?, the most common method is to uninstall Print2PDF file from server. You then need to manually remove the traces that still exist and then reinstall Brother printer. You will then have to upgrade your printer software to its newest version. Another way to prevent Brother printer error code "41? is to make sure that printer spooler is working fine. For better working of the spooler set it in automatic mode instead of the default manual mode.

error 41 is a critical error with the print head of your machine, you can try unplugging it for a while then plugging it back in but if that doesn't work it will probably need a new head. If the power cycle doesn't work I would suggest buying a new machine

the cartridge is not put in good. make sure the tab that the ink came with is put in good then make sure the cartridge is clicked in all the way till the end. Then do a cleaning and a test run. Then you should be fine. If this does not solve your problem post to me and i will instruct you futher

From my research ,unfortunately, I have noticed a lot of brother customers have this problem. I did review your manual also only to find that any error listed in the troubleshooting section asks to call customer support without listing what the problem is?

What I found out:
Error 41 means there is a major problem with the printhead, usually
requires a print head replacement.
If it is still under warranty contact Brother.
If it's out of warranty you can purchase a new print head.

But first try this:
remove cartridges form the machine, with a warm damp cloth wipe off the cartridge head. place back in the fax and unplug power.
wait a few minutes and plug back in.
