The motor brushes may be bad. Take the screen off and turn the shaver on. Manually move the blade back and forth a bit and see if it starts to engage. If it begins to run when you do this, the brushes are worn. Braun does not make replacement motors for your shaver

If the shaver is in travel lock mode, usually, the way to unlock it is to hold in the on/off button for 5 seconds
