Please try another bulb before you go for something else. Many times happened to me even the new bulb not working. Advice: just remove the good bulb of brake light you have on driver's side and try it on the passenger side. If it works,surely another bulb. If not,ask for an Electrician to help.

Yes, this could be the shift solenoid. Was the transmission filter changed at the same time as the fluid? Dirt in the system can affect some of the transmission sensors tripping Trouble codes. I cannot be sure what the P1732 code is as some codes can be very vehicle specific but it appears to refer to the transmission or on of it's sensors. P0733 - Gear 3 Incorrect Ratio. P0734 - Gear 4 Incorrect Ratio.

It sounds like the key needs reprogramming. When the battery was removed, it lost its memory. Visit the Dealership, and Auto-Electrician or an Alarm Installer.

All your mechanic has to do is test them. Not rocket science and it saves throwing parts at it if it is only a broken wire in the end.

Question edited for clarity. Security System, Immobilizer issue. Get it towed to the dealership or a good local auto-electrician.

Flat battery. Your lights and other accessories draw alot less power than starter needs. Have your battery load tested to verify.

Other than BMW ones it all depends on the engine in your car, how you drive it and what your budget is. In general with after market parts definitely go with the well known brand names. Some of the very cheap 'Budget' rotors can be very poor quality especially if used on a heavier, more powerful car like a BMW. The bigger size engines, especially the diesels, are heavier so need a heavier duty rotor to compensate. If you have a more aggressive driving style, (Hard and fast), more of a performance brand of rotors AND PADS would be a better idea. If you are on a limited budget I would recommend you buy BMW parts. That way you know they are a decent quality and are the correct ones for your vehicle. A Simple rule is to always buy the best quality you can afford.

It depends on how hot it got and for how long? Holes in the pistons under the spark plugs. Burnt Exhaust Valves. Stuck Valves. First thing to do is to remove and visually inspect the spark plugs and then test for compression. That is more that one item causing that. You need a good auto-electrician with a scan tool computer or the dealership.
