If you are using a circular saw, you are probably ripping hardwood lumber that was originally sawed (incorrectly) under stress. Back your saw out and start the cut again. You may have to do this several times until the lumber "relaxes" enough to be cut.

You'll need to order one from Kobalt for around $23 plus $10 fer delivery. Happened to me once and when l found out how much it was gunna cost l told the salesperson to stuff it up their a$$ and threw it out and bought a new machine off ebay.

First, with the power cord unplugged, check the squareness of the blade to the saw with a square, adjust the 'foot' of the saw (the part that sits flat on whatever you are cutting) to be 90 degree with the blade. To do this, usually on the back of the saw there will be a nut or a screw that holds the foot in place. Loosen it, and move the foot until the blade and the foot both touch the square along the entire surface of the blade and the saw 'foot' and retighten the foot. Many jigsaws have this problem.
