A headlight is not electronics. It is a very simple electrical circuit. One wire goes from the switch to a terminal/spring on one battery (let's say the positive terminal). There's a metal or wire connection between the two batteries, and then another wire goes from back from the other battery's terminal (negative in this example) to the switch. There's no significant value in the headlight, as they weren't original equipment on the bike, so you can just buy a replacement light. 'Had this problem... turned out that the contacts weren't mating properly between the flea and the dock. I remedied by shaving back some of the plastic surrounding the contacts with a pocket knife.
