How to choose a light crust for a loaf
It.s not so much the baking it's the length of time it takes. Your recipie may need modifying. Try a different recipe or use the dough setting and make your own bread that way.

How do I get spare parts for a KH1170 Bread Baking Machine?
Honestly, by the you get a replacement, order, with shipping and handling etc. It would be cheaper in the long run to buy another breadmaker which are often on sale for about $39:99. Best wishes.
