Condensation

There is no"filter" underneath. There is. however, a tray underneath your fridge, designed to catch any excess water. If you remove the bottom louvered piece in the front on the fridge, you will find, probably on the right hand side, a tray which is engineered and designed to catch any excess water (as if the fridge were defrosting), but there is no "filter" which I know about. Refrigerators are pretty simple machines. They don't typically require lots of maintenance, but they do require monitoring here and there.

MT27 has a noisy fan operation. Doesn't always

There are a couple of possibilities that could be causing this. I believe it is the fan blade. One could be that bracket that holds the fan motor in places could have loose screws, which would cause vibration. Another is that the mounting for the fan motor to the bracket could be loose. Another could be that the fan blade itself is slightly bent. Check the motor brackets screws, fan mounting screws and the blades. If all those are good, making sure the unit is unplugged you can turn the fan blade by hand slowly to see if it is dragging anywhere on the shroud around the coil or the coil itself. You could slightly bend the "clacking" blade to clear is that is the issue. Tom

New compressor installed- wont cool

Check evap for a restriction. Check drier to see if it is installed in the correct direction. Does not sound like a cap tube issue if you can verify flow with nitrogen.

I'm replacing the thermostat on

Not familiar with this thermostat but you can figure it out if you know how to use a meter. Sounds like they want you to run both power and neutral threw the thermostat OR it is one that either opens on temp rise or closes on temp rise. Also, the wire tapped into the black one for the fan is probably to energize the fan 24/7 as the original may have been damaged.

I have a 2 door

In general, these units are not to be exposed to temps over 80 degrees. Anything above this and it will struggle to keep temp.

Beverage Air MT17 cools sporadically. I turn the temp control setting to 5 and it will go down to 28 degrees F and the next day it will be at 55 F. I have to turn the control knob to off position then

Low refrigerant would make it inefficient but if it chills to 28° it can't be that bad. I think you have a control issue. The compressor runs when you reset to off & on, then chills until it satisfies the thermostat, then shuts off. But then is not starting again when the temperature rises. You'll need to follow the control wiring to see what contacts are open and not passing power to the compressor. Control wiring is typically 24v ac or 115v ac. There's also the possibility that the compressor is tripping out on overload at 28°. You effect a reset when you turn it off, then on.

Is It A Cooler or a Freezer?

With no heaters or defrost timer, it is most likely not a freezer unless someone removed all that. As best as I can tell, I can not find anything that equates to the temperature and pressures you related to. It could be either low on Freon or the R-12 has been removed and an alternate Freon installed to replace it. Hope this helps.
