located to the rear of the top of the engine next to the radiator reservoir . On top , visible. Two screw.. Phillips or torx. Unplug. remove carefully. Might work if cleaned. Do not use carb. Cleaner. Use alcohol Electric points cleaner, used at radio shops. Wait for it dry . Replace it. Try it. You might want to erase codes beforehand. If no tester available. remove battery cables for a awhile. maybe while doing the removal. If code comes back again, it shouldn't replace it.

If it was flooded replace the car, the electronics are destroyed, wiring and all.

You didn't state the year but could be a couple of issues. First, could have have a cam jump 1 tooth and it is now out of time. Second, you could have a cam or crank sensor failing and they are not syncing. Third, you could have a pcm/ecm failure or issue. Did you get a reference code?

You pulled the fuse on the anti-theft system and upset it!

Resetting a Vehicle Anti-Theft System
This is how you reset an anti theft system if you have the anti-theft light on, or your car is cranking, but you have no spark.

Doing a full reset of the anti-theft system.

Disconnect both battery leads for at least two hours.
Hold the negative and positive leads together for 5 minutes to fully discharge any power.
Put the key in the ignition, but not turned on. VERY IMPORTANT!
Connect the positive lead.
Connect the negative lead in one swift movement.
Wait 15 minutes for the system to fully reset.

What engine do you have?

Audi Cars &... | Answered on Mar 05, 2019 | 32 views

Check your wiring; you may have lost a ground connection common to all those sensors.

If you buy new plugs that are correct for your car, they normally come pre gapped (particularly platinum and other 'non copper' plugs). I like to run 36/1000 or 0.8mm. But 1.1mm (43/1000) is also common.

I would suspect that your fuel pump trips out and/or the fuel filter is plugged. To check, you can pull the fuel hose off the fuel rail, put it in a water bottle and have someone turn the ignition key. The pump will run for a few seconds then shut off. Repeat, and see if there is sufficient flow.

Your pump may be worn out. Or you have a leak in the system.
The system has a run time limit for the pump to achieve the desired height (and a pump temperature limit). If the pump is worn or air leaks out, it can take too long and the system 'trips'.
Have you noticed that one corner of the car is lower than the others?
A diagnostic system (VCDS, often called VAGcom) can read the height of each corner, and can help to determine if one of the air bags is leaking (most common), or if a line/valve block is leaking (less common), or if the pump is worn out, which is often caused by a leak in the first place (pump runs all the time to keep pressure in the system).

Audi (VW) is NOT giving out the security codes (chat, phone) anymore. You would need to take the car to the dealer (I figure 1/2 hour to 1 hour labor, or $50-$100?).

Last week, I tried a commercial online service (paid with credit card to have a recourse in case it won't work/scam).

Submitted the serial number of the radio, entered the VIN of the car, and answered where I obtained the radio from (here: ebay). Received confirmation email, and a day later received the code. Entered the code. Worked.

The service I used (I just googled; there may be others):
(mayb VW only?):

Similar (but I did NOT use them yet):
