Restart your ASUS laptop and press the "F9" key while the computer is booting up. This will open the boot screen. Select "Recover Windows to Entire HD" and press "Enter."

Press "Y" three times when asked if you are sure that you want to restore. The laptop will restore the factory settings. The computer will then shut down and start up again.

Approve the license agreement, then select your "Language preference." Enter your name into the box and click "Next."

Enter your password twice on the next screen and select "Next." Enter the time zone and date information, then select "Next." Select "Finish" on the next screen and the computer will reboot.

Yes, your Asus motherboard will support the Nvidia GeForce 8600 PCI-Express graphics card.
However one thing you should consider. The 8600 card is SLI compatible but the motherboard only has one PCI-E x16 slot.
You will also need to make some changes in your bios.
In order to help you configure your system for a PCI-E graphics follow these steps.
1. Uninstall your current display driver software through windows control panel. Windows may ask you to restart your system, do not restart. Shut windows down which will shut off the system.
2. Unplug the power cable from the system & open your case.
3. Install your 8600 card. (Double check it is installed correctly & if needed has the extra power cord connected to the card.
4. Re-connect the power cord.
5. During boot up enter the bios by pressing the Delete key every couple seconds.
6. Once in the bios click the Advanced tab, see top of page 2-19 in your manual.
7. Than open Onboard Device Configuration
Open North Bridge Configuration, see page 2-22
Change Primary Graphics Adapter to [PCI-E]
Change Internal VGA to [Disable]
Change Share Memory Size to [Disable]
8. Save Bios changes & exit. Your system will auto restart.
Once windows has finished loading install the 8600 driver software & directX 10.0. You can also go to nVidia & download the latest software driver @

I've no clue what you want to do, with what. you do no need move ever. copy them ,drag them. if need be say from HDD to thumb drive, we want to delete the source we do so but only rarely , 2.5K means 2500 files or files 2500 bytes long (size) new PC no CD drive sure, they are too big to fit there so are not there. why are you saying CD ? the PC has SSD as most to now where are your source files, not told a CD now MOVE, as the last step of a move is delete and CD are read only device. so that aside where is this source data no told at all if files are on CD we by a CD reader USB external for $15 cured, better is DVD reader and can do DVD-R and CD-R BOTH AT THE LEAST. then copy them anywhere you want NOT MOVE. but COPY a new thumb drive may need top be formatted to NTFS. and make sure it mounts. as seen in DISK manager. sorry all can do is guess what you are attempting nor source told at all. (best) as NTFS allows data loss corrections later if need be. not told by you at all what a CD has to do with any of this. I can only guess.

1. disassemble the monitor. 2. change the buttons for power and other function buttons. 3. always remember to replace with genuine parts.

One of two things are happening. Either your keys are stuck due to debris and/or dust on your keyboard or someone has created "hot keys" possibly as a joke and they are typing it. Get a coin and insert it under the key and pull upwards. Keys pop on and off the keyboard. It will not hurt it. Remove both keys and check for dirt and dust under them. If this is not the problem then you have hot keys set. In order to walk you through disengaging them I would need to know your operating system and if removing and cleaning the keys worked first. Depending on your hardware, you may use the Windows Logo Key + PrtScn button as a shortcut for print screen. If your device does not have the PrtScn button, you may use Fn + Windows logo key + Space Bar to take a screenshot, which can then be printed.

Unless you are using a high end motherboard with the latest chipset, you will find it very difficult to get an "onboard" graphics chip to output that resolution. And your motherboard just doesn't have the power to display at that resolution. You will need to find a graphics card that will display that kind of resolution. The Nvidia GTX 650 or the Radeaon 7750 are both capable of handling that display and are cheap (in terms of graphics cards anyway).

The last line of your error message contains the solution: "You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have any installation media (like a disk or USB device), contact your system administrator or PC manufacturer." Translation: Start up from the disk that came with your laptop and follow repair tool instructions (or contact the manufacturer to obtain a copy - which you may possibly need to purchase. If you are not under warranty this will possibly be at a reduced cost.) Look for a label on the bottom of your pc for a phone number for service if your equipment is not useable. Good luck!

that means the PC video out is dead. and all monitors show NO SIGNAL and go to sleep by law. TURN MONITOR ON LAST AND IT SHOWS NO SIGNAL, NO SYNC OR OUT OF RANGE ERROR BAD pc (none told)_ bad video card, bad cable or a dead PC. just because pC faNS SPIN DOES NOT MAKE IT GOOD.

Is this a status message or a STOP: on a blue screen, when you try to go to safe mode? Are all drivers up to date, and windows updated and patched?

the manual tells that on all routers. for sure this. RTM ? asus.com read the manual on how to use the HW reset button. used only if can not log in to router and owned by you ,not ISP

well those header pins are not any kind of standard, ISO or ATX. so that is custom work, doing that, and have done this vast times. the M2n68 manual is clear on that, which each pin does. but not the HP, HP does not document there super secret pins if you read there service manual you'd have seen that. did you first? (yes some high end workstation by HP have this like some of mine) what is this HP Presario 6313? a relic desktop? and old desktop? did you really mean HP Pavilion p6313w Desktop PC with a "P" and left off the P for fun? OS is dead right, or did you run the file system check by hand. ??????? seems like bad HDD. if smart tests fail on HDD it is a bad drive. but has no HDD at all only this relic dinky 20GB SSD, the ssd can be bad easy after 11 years of use. I bet it is. runs linux has tiny 20GB SSD boot drive,
