Hi, I'm guessing that there could be a glitch in the processor's circuits. the following will not erase or remove anything on your iPad, but do a software reset of the memory circuits : Hold down both these buttons at the same time : - "Home" and the "On/Off" button (right-hand corner) - keep holding them both down firmly, disregarding any message, until the Apple logo appears. i do this simple procedure about once per month, just to keep things working more smoothly. The top corner button is really just a "screen off" button. An iPad is a small computer, and needs to be turned completely off once in a while. let me know if this doesn't work, as there may be another solution related to your iPad being logged-in and connected to iCloud.

It may not be able to accept the more recent updates issued by Apple. to get the most recent updates it can accept : - click 'Settings' - scroll down to 'General' - click 'Software update' on the right hand column. available updates will be shown after a few seconds, if there are any that will work with you iPad. good luck !

Hi, I would try these 2 things: 1- delete the scrabble app. You should be be able to download and reinstall it again. To delete it, press on the icon until it squiggles, press the small « x » to erase it, then press the Home button to stop the icons from squiggling. 2- reset the memory circuits on your iPad.
