You need to use iTunes to load music on your iPod.

The Mass Storage area is separate from the iPods music storage area. It will not play music files that are loaded into the Mass Storage area.

The first thing that you should do is download itunes from the apple website at www.apple.com/itunes once installed open up itunes and then plug in the supplied usb cable into the ipod and the other end into your computer. From itunes you can then go onto the apple store and buy music from the store or if you have music on CDs you can use itunes to pull the CDs onto your computer and from itunes and clicking on the devices section you can transfer the music onto your ipod. That is the problem. iTunes will only allow you to put audiobooks in that section if they were bought from the iTunes store. It's very annoying, but i suggest just making a playlist to hold all the files. iTunes doesn't let you set the type as "Audiobook" for files.

If you want to download to your i pod,you have to use a i Tunes media player to enable you acess to i pod and transfer music into it.

If you don't have i Tunes software, go on net through google an search for i Tune downloads.

Download i Tunes and install,after installing connect your cable from your i pod to your pc.from there you can fnd your way out.good luck.

Are you on Mac or PC? You can buy and purchase movies through iTunes. Video LAN Client (VLC) can also convert some video files to the .mp4 spec of H264 as well.

Your video must be at least 640 x 480 pixels in dimensions. Any larger I believe it will not transfer.

1. download iTunes from www.apple.com
2. install it on your PC
3. Open iTunes
4. connect your iPod to your PC
5. iTunes will detect your iPod
6. then you can synchronise your songs easily, you can drag & drop songs to iTunes too

You should check the desired movies are in your iTunes under movies And do the same when you are viewing the movies in the ipod from iTunes. then sync them

Not all iTunes video can be transferred to iPod, please make sure your video is compatible with iPod. If the video resolution or video bitrate beyond iPod limitation, even though they are mp4 video, you can't upload them to iPod. For example, some iTunes purchased movie are High definition movie, the resolution is too high to play on iPod, you can't sync it to your iPod. you purchased RENTALS in OCTOBER 2007, that is about 4 months ago, The files shouldnt be playable anymore?

The movie was RENTED? not bought, it shouldnt work, so you need to buy a movie, so it doesnt get blacked out after the rental time is up.
