most likely your main board is done. You can attempt to clean (with IPA) the carriage bars and reoil the front bar only. Open the back and look at the main board. look on the gold heat sink for burnt drivers.

Not sure what you mean by "realign" but you can try under the test menu select pcalb. make sure there is not paper installed and the printer is not in direct sunlight.

This is usally a problem with the way the card is put into the reader. attempt to reseat the card. try putting the card all the way in a nd back it off a little bit (pull it up slightly). attempt this a couple of times putting the card in different positions each time. if thei does not work, your card or the eeprom on the board are bad and need to be replaced.

you need some rubber rejovinator. This will remove the ink from the platten and "soften" the rubber platten

your home sensor is either defective or has come unplugged from main board. Check connections on main board.

There are 2 ways. one is to press and hold setup button. While holding the button turn dial to adjust print density. The second is to enter the operations menu and scroll to the end which is #52. Press form align and config at then same time while scrolling further. Gap adjust is #58. The higher the number the further the gap. Caution. The other setting can adversly affet the printer. Unless youi know what you are doing, do not adjust the other settings.

your printer is locked up of some functions. to unlock hit alt and form feed then setup twice.

It will be embossed on a flat surface if your device has one. Some do not.

when the paper loads, the top of form is then set., If the printer is not setting this or the paper just feeds through when loading paper, go into the test menu, select pcalib and make sure no paper is in the printer. aslo make sure the printer is not in direct sunlight. this will reset your paper detection circut and therefore your tof "alignment"

either your head gap is set too close or you print density is too much. To check print density press and hold setup. While holding set up scroll wheel to left to lighten print and right to darken.

Yes, probably with a new image intensifier tube, or it could possibly be weak ccfl inverter with it coil. Contact the manufacture and they will give you ruff estimate on the cost for repairs. stewbison

Jeepers! I have work on these ATN MK238 before. All internal electronic are made in Russia. There are two major problem with them. Image intensifier tube goes lights out, the ccfl inver, coil and voltage multiplier are seal in dielectric jell and epoxy. can't work of them. I can work on them, but I am not. Who ever work on it will need to install a new image tube, manufacture ccfl inverter, fine a coil and manufacture voltage multiplie and get the correct cathode ingnitor voltage, hard.

Hi, the objective lens on this ATN MK238. Now these lenses are Russian Optics and they manufacture very good to excellent optics. Take the lens to a camera shop, if they can fix it, then they will know who will. If you send it to ATN they just throw away your lens and replace it with a new lens. If you are going to replace the lens then up grade to 90mm to 100mm lens, OK. stewbsion

2 things. First oil the inner bar. the one without the red plastic holder. never oil the bar with the red plastic holder. Second thing coud be the bushings inside the carriage assembly. The are brass and have to be pressed gently and very evenly into the assembly.
