Amana Washing Machines - Page 7 - Popular Questions, Answers, Tips & Manuals
I have an Amana front load washer, it will run through a complete cycle when empty but will not run with a load in it.
Hi Ben
I see you have posted on this before , I think you may have done this already judging from your post , but have you checked the filter on the drain pump? also when you run a cycle empty, is it filling and draining the water correctly , or is there water left in the machine , and last is the drain hose high enough to make sure that there is not a "syphoning" effect taking place as in when it fills with water it drains at the same time , just a thought let me know.
My washer turns some things inside out and wrings
Tying things in knots is a characteristic of older washing machines that didn't have an oscillating action. It was soon realised to avoid that the washer should oscillate or reverse the action by equal amounts and so that is what the automatic washer is designed to do.
Perhaps there is something wrong with the controller or the motor and it isn't reversing properly.
Laundry that is tied in knots is likely to cause the drum to be out of balance more than usual and so the tub suspension, the hoses, wiring and door seal will be subjected to more stress and that could be the reason for the mysterious leak.
