Washer will not drain: The drain water pump is the main part in your washing machine that pumps out the water. If this is defective or has failed in any way, this will be the reason why your washer will not drain the water. Before you order a new drain pump, make sure to check the pump to be sure a small object like clothing or similar has not lodged itself inside of it causing the NO DRAIN issue and even a no spin issue?. If this drain hose is blocked, kinked, bent, or clogged, the washer will NOT be able to remove the water from the tub. Check the drain hose to be sure it allows the water to flow freely. You can take the drain hose off and run water through it in your sink to be sure it is not blocked. If there is water STILL in the washer when you remove the drain hose, grab a bucket as the water will exit from where you disconnected it The water pump belt (to drain out the water) may have broke or become frayed or loose. If this belt breaks then it is unable to drain and remove the water from your washer. Inspect the belt to see if this is causing the NO DRAIN issue and remove and replace if needed. If the lid switch is not working as required it will cause your washer to not drain (and many other problems). This may be unlikely as a bad lid switch will usually cause your washer to also not agitate or spin. However on some models this can vary. The best thing to do if you have a suspected bad lid switch is to test it. It can fail electrically and or mechanically. If mechanical failure is the issue, you should be able to see if it is cracked, broken, or not in place to make contact with the lid. To test it electrically, use a multimeter set on Ohms and test it for continuity My advice is free cuz God is good!

It depends where you live. In the UK your 13 amp fuse is in the wall plug. In the US or Canada, your breaker is the fuse. It does have a thermal fuse, which is for overheating or strain on the motor rather than a dead short. Does an Amana washer have a fuse? If the washer overheats, the thermal fuse will blow. If the line fuse blows, the washer won't start. To determine if the thermal fuse is at fault, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the fuse does not have continuity, replace it.

You could do with a bit of punctuation in there Mary! Putting my own in makes a difference where I put commas or periods. Only you know what you mean. You need a service call. It sounds like the pump has failed. When that happens, the machine protects itself and disables the spin feature. If you are 'handy', you could check the Pump for debris or something blocking it. However, it may be a mainboard problem. It pulls straight up and off .But after many years this will be easier said than done due to accumulated grime. Pullers with extensions are sold for this purpose, but the price might outweigh the benefit. You can also break the agitator to get it off, but check first to make certain you can get a replacement. Another trick involves drilling straight down the center (under the fabric softener cup) of the agitator and spraying a lubricant like WD40 on the hole to help loosen the agitator where it attaches to the drive shaft spline.

Turn off the water, and remove the hoses from the back of the machine. Inside there you will see a small gauze strainer. It is probably partially blocked with limescale and debris. It empties, because the logic board doesn't understand why the machine is not filled within a certain time, so it aborts and pumps out.

If power is going into the machine, through the power switch and into the controller and everything as far as possible is either new or in good condition, power should be going out of the other end of the controller into the water solenoid valve, pump and most importantly the motor. Clearly that isn't happening or your new motor would be happily doing what it is supposed to be doing. I think you should ensure the power switch is good and power is being delivered and if it is, suspect the controller is defective...

The replacement shift actuator may have failed early.
