Hello, Stephen -I am not finding relevant information for you. I do not own an Alpenlite Fifth Wheel RV myself.I suspect you will receive relevant instructions from another owner. For that, if you have not already posted your question on an online RV discussion forum, I suggest you do so. These are links to some forums. Registration is required for each, but they are all free:iRV2:http://www.irv2.com/forums/f104/alpenlite-5ers-125073.htmlRV.net:http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/22871819.cfmRVNetwork:http://www.rvnetwork.com/Technical Tips & Tricks is probably the best category for your refrigerator question.RVTalk.com (RVUSA):http://www.rvtalk.com/Both the RV Tips & Tricks and the Towables category would be the best for you to post your question.Best wishes
Your model does not have a filter. You will have to add an inline water filter before supplying water to the refrigerator if you would like it to be filtered.
Yes.
First, type the model number in to the correct space on the web-site "SearsPartsDirect" to get the schematic for that unit, and you will also get a part number or two.
You may even find that handle available through them.
Next, take that part number to Amazon or E-bay, and you should find that handle available.
God bless your efforts.
Please type your model number in the proper box at the website of "Searspartsdirect" and you will see schematics that will tell you the information you wish.
(I think it can be, by the way.)
God belss your efforts.
Is the display flashing when you try and use it or can you hear the dispenser door opening and closing rapidly (clicking or clapping sound)? These are prone to the board going bad and losing the dispenser. Is the "ice" light lit on the dispenser? The touch pad could be bad too. Do you hear the auger motor turning the ice when you press the dispenser? or just the "shhhhhhh" of the water coming out?
If there is ice in the bucket then that is not the problem. Dump it and listen if you hear new ice drop to verify.
There is no such part called an "ice element". Ice maker-yes.. Heating element-yes.. Ice dispenser-yes
don't know - some have a small opening you can adjust to balance the air between the top and bottom compartments - usually inside bottom, at back, just under freezer.
Heat guns are typically a bad idea as most people will hold it in one place too long melting,or disfiguring the plastic on the icemaker or worse, the cabinet.
Removing and using hot water is always the best way!
The usual problem for small, or hollow ice cubes is a bad saddle valve. There really isn't a good saddle valve in my opinion as they always clog either from mineral or rusting from the inside out.
What you want to do is find your shutoff valve. Sometimes in the basement, or under a sink if it is close by the refrigerator and look to see how it is hooked up. If it has a valve like the attached pic then it would be best to call in a plumber and have him replace it with a toilet style ball valve which will never restrict water flow and will always work!
The two main types of saddle valves are self pierce (absolute garbage) and drill type. If you look at where the valve straps to the pipe it will either have a round or square gasket. The square gasket ones are the worst and 99.5% of the time are the problem.
if everything is out even the lights check the plug and make sure the fuse or breaker isn't popped, unplug the fridge and plug a lamp or something in there to check power,i've seen fridges on a gfi plug so check that too,but sounds like no power to fridge.next time send the full model number off of the machine,
unplug it and leave it off for an hour. then plug back in this may reset it. power coming back on can be higher than normal its always best to turn things off so when the power comes back on and you switch it back on its at the correct voltage.
Could be a number of things, low Freon, defective defrost timer. Suggest have a tech check it.
If it is 10 or more years old suggest replace it with a new one rather than invest funds in it.
