Why wont my amana ntw4501xq0 top load washer not completely drain all the way?

Washer will not drain: Thedrain water pumpis the main part in your washing machine that pumps out the water. If this is defective or has failed in any way, this will be the reason why your washer will not drain the water. Before you order a new drain pump, make sure tocheck the pump to be sure a small object like clothing or similar has not lodged itself insideof it causing the NO DRAIN issue and even a no spin issue?. If the drain pump is not clogged, you can test it with a multimeter and remove and replace if needed. Read more: http://removeandreplace.com/2014/10/30/fix-washing-machine-that-wont-drain-washer-not-draining-water/#ixzz3X2LbXMWJ The washing machinedrain hoseis where the water flows through to get the water out.If this drain hose is blocked, kinked, bent, or clogged, the washer will NOT be able to remove the waterfrom the tub. Check the drain hose to be sure it allows the water to flow freely. You can take the drain hose off and run water through it in your sink to be sure it is not blocked. If there is water STILL in the washer when you remove the drain hose, grab a bucket as the water will exit from where you disconnected it Thewater pump belt(to drain out the water) may have broke or become frayed or loose. If this belt breaks then it is unable to drain and remove the water from your washer. Inspect the belt to see if this is causing theNO DRAINissue and remove and replace if needed. If thelid switchis not working as required it will cause your washer to not drain (and many other problems). This may be unlikely as a bad lid switch will usually cause your washer to alsonot agitate or spin. However on some models this can vary. The best thing to do if you have a suspected bad lid switch is to test it. It can fail electrically and or mechanically. If mechanical failure is the issue, you should be able to see if it is cracked, broken, or not in place to make contact with the lid. To test it electrically, use a multimeter set on Ohms and test it for continuityMy advice is free cuz God is good! water pump belt broken104-undefined-undefined-0.jpg water pump hose washer clogged washer hose1-undefined-undefined-2.jpg water pump sump dirty-undefined-undefined-5_2.jpg water pump2-undefined-undefined-9_0.jpg

My AMANA washing machine stops in the wash cycle NTW4516FW1 does not continue to rinse cycle

Is it heating the water? Many machines won't continue the wash cycle if the water temperature isn't achieved. Usually caused by blown heater element. I'm not familiar with your machine but generally it's a matter of removing the back panel, disconnect the terminals to the heater element, undo fixing bolt and pull it out. Should have a resistance of around 50 ohms, but if you're water isn't getting warm it's probably open circuit, ie infinitely high resistance. Replacement element is usually around £20.

What if the heater in the amana freezer isn't melting the ice fast enough?

This appears to be a reference to the defrosting component of a Amana freezer. Let's just assume that it is not a problem with the freezer door seals. (If the seal is not a tight seal when the door is closed, you have melting occurring and the the freezer trying to compensate by refreezing, yielding a lot of icing in the compartment. This is what happens if you over stuff the freezer and the freezer door does not quite close firmly, as well.) The Amana defrost thermostat might be defective or have become dislodged for some reason. If defective, it would require replacement. But let's say it is not defective. The defroster didn't work when there was too much ice buildup. This could cause the molex connector in the thermostat to contract, breaking the connect activating it. One user "fixed" this problem by putting aluminum foil inside the molex connector. If the theromostate became dislodged from its "attachment point", one would need to know the model of the freezer know where that point was. https://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/threads/amana-defrost-thermostat-installation-location.27405/ There are videos describing replacement of the thermostat in some Amana's. You can find such on YouTube. I just can't promise that replacement would fix the problem.

My Amana asd2624hen freezer is not freezing

Check first that there is no leak coming through your gasket a good way is stick a flashlight inside your freezer turn out the lights if you see and beam or light the seal is cracked or must be replaced the check your coils where Freon is supplied if there not cold you must to a pressure test while adding Freon also check for leaks by spraying water on your coils . It's a matter of mathematical elimination also check thermostat if your Amana is under 10 years old look for the fault codes and get someone that can read what faults are being detected

Amana ABB192ZDES controls show dashes - -. Refrigerator not cooling (worm fresh food and freezer)Refrigerator comes back to life after unplugging it plugging it in back to the power. Any ideas?

Possibly the filter both air and water. Make sure the lines aren't frozen. If the unit has an ice maker you can warm the lines with a blow dryer ( warm on low fan) make sure it's level. Is the trim gasket around the door worn?

Amana ndg8805aww, igniter does not glow. Checked all parts and they tested fine. No lint in duct, gas is connected. Was working just fine before. What can I be and how can I test?

If the igniter doesn't glow, then you probably have a bad igniter! You can use an ohmmeter to test it. Unplug the dryer before you start working on it. then take the dryer apart until you can get to the igniter. Unplug the igniter plug, and measure it's resistance. If it's less than 100 ohms, then it is okay, but if it's reading over 1000 ohms (or an open circuit), then it is bad and needs to be replaced.

Check voltage in , there could be one side of breaker burned causing only one side to come through. This happens on older main breakers frequently which messes up whole house.
