Hi
Thanks
for using FixYa. This issue can be either due to a faulty door latch or
door lock switch which is not engaging itself. And, if the door latch will not
engage the dishwasher will sense it as open door and will not start the cycle. Check
the door switch and door latch. However, the water is going in the unit so it
seems to be a bad control panel which should be replaced. Please do accept the
solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. First of all please check the
Water temperature by using a thermometer inside the dishwasher to measure the
water temp. It should be as close to 125 degree F to 140 degree F as possible.
Now try using the temperature boost feature if your dishwasher is equipped with
this cycle feature and check if this will help your wash ability issues.
Now check the Powder soap by making sure that you store
your soap in a dry environment and it is not stale and clumping together.
Possibly try a different detergent like a liquid or gel. Also, make sure the
dishes are loaded properly, or dishwasher is not overloaded.
To check the proper filling dishwasher will fill with
water up to and around the heating element. If water is more below the heating
element, you may have low water pressure or a problem with the fill valve. Try
& listen if it sounds like it is spraying the water around with enough
pressure.
For low water pressure, try to clean the screen at the
entrance of the fill valve, sometimes the fill valve can fail and not allow the
proper water into the dishwasher and may need to be replaced. And, check
the spray arm and pump cover for splits or leaks. Also make sure that the water
is draining and is not accumulated in the dishwasher, if it is in
dishwasher then check for clogged drain hoses and drain pump.
Low water fills are a very common trouble maker with
today's dishwasher. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post
a comment for further assistance.

Leaks on left side bottom of door
Hi
Thanks
for using FixYa. Leaks from the door itself may be caused by a faulty door gasket or door
tightness adjustment. You should check the main tub seal, the door latch, the
door gasket, the water-inlet valve, and the fill and drain hoses.
Also make sure the dishwasher is sitting level (you can adjust the front feet
up or down, and many units have some type of levelers at the rear). Water under
the dishwasher may be originating from a leaky hose or loose hose connection.
Remove the lower front panel, and check the hoses. The pump seal may be
defective, too; replacing this is a job for an appliance repairperson. An older
dishwasher may corrode at the bottom, but this is fairly uncommon. If this is
the case with your dishwasher, it's time for a new one.
Please do
accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further
assistance.

Its makeing a loud grinding noise
bearings are possibly going out on the motor. If the sound is like metal grinding on metal then that's the problem. To repair it you will need to remove the dishwasher from under the cabinet and flip it upside down to access the motor assembly. Take the model # and serial # to an appliance part supply for proper motor replacement. It isn't hard to do if you have the time. Make sure the unit is unplugged and the water line has been disconnected before any repairs start.
Hope this helped you

My Frigidaire Dish washer makes a loud buzzing
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. If your dishwasher seems noisy, check these:
Water-inlet valve
An aging
water-inlet valve can sometimes fail slowly, rather than all at once. It can
shudder on and off rapidly, causing the incoming water lines to shake, rumble,
and rattle--sometimes violently. If yours is doing this, replace the inlet
valve.
Motor
If it's the
motor that's noisy, either of these may be the "culprit:"
As motor
bearings wear out, they can become quite loud when the motor runs. They wear
out quickly if they frequently get wet, because the water washes away the motor
bearing grease. Bearings can get wet if the spin seal is defective. Then there
will also be water leaking onto the floor beneath the dishwasher. Replace the
seal if it leaks (read about the main tub seal in the "It leaks"
section, later).
If, from
beneath the dishwasher, you can see a round, plastic disc that's mounted to the
top of the motor (a "slinger"), it may have broken free of the motor
shaft. If so, it could be rattling around the shaft while the motor is running.
If that's the problem, you need to replace the motor.
Heater fan
If the heater
fan bearings are rusted or worn, they may squeal, or scrape loudly during the
drying cycle. If this is the problem, replace the fan motor. Alternatively, the
fan blade may be loose. If so, you need to replace it.
Pump
Small fruit
pits, toothpicks, and fragments of glass sometimes get stuck in the pump. When
this happens, open the pump and remove the debris. The pump is usually mounted
directly to the motor, and then attached to the bottom of the dishwasher.
To get to the
pump, you usually need to remove the lower rack, the spray arms, and the spray
arm support from the inside of your dishwasher. A dishwasher pump isn't
obvious. Look for an impeller--a round, plastic fan blade-type device that
spins around and pushes the water toward the drain. When you can see the drain
impeller, you should be able to see the clogging debris.
Please do rate the solution if
the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa.
Dishwasher not draining properly or not draining at all issues can arise due
to different reasons. Usually, these issues are related to kinked hoses,
knocked out disposer unit (if connected with the dishwasher drain hose) &
clogged drain pump & filter.
Also note that dishwashers do not
drain completely after a finished cycle and this is normal. Dishwashers are
designed to leave some water in the unit to ensure that the heating element
doesn’t overheat. If you suddenly begin to experience a large amount of water
being retained in your dishwasher, you have a problem. Some of the most common
reasons include that the drain hose isn’t working properly, the drain pump
isn’t working correctly, or possibly there is a plumbing problem in your home’s
drain lines.
First check whether the drain is
not clogged or blocked and the line is not kinked. Check all the hoses for
blockages & also clean the air gap. Has the disposer been replaced
recently? If so, chances are the knockout is still in place. Simply remove the
drain hose from the disposer, and knock out the plug. If the disposer has not
been replaced, try removing the drain hose from the disposer and use a wet-dry
vacuum (prepared for water, of course) to **** any water (and hopefully
anything else) from the drain line. Then reconnect the hose, and test the unit.
If you have checked the air gap and the drain hose and can’t locate the
problem, then it is an issue with the drain pump of the dishwasher.
Please do rate the solution and revert for further
assistance.
Thanks

I have an amana dishwasher and it wont fill with
Sounds like you need a dishwasher water inlet valve. This part allows water to flow during the wash and rinse cycles. This part is electrical so unplug the appliance before attempting repair. Part cost about $25. It is located behind the bottom kick plate. Two screws and two slip on wire connectors and you are done.
