No ice just replaced the ice maker itself

did you check to make sure there is water going to the fridge? It's possible the waterline may be clogged at the saddle valve. does the ice maker cycle? make sure the plug is in correctly and all the way.

NOT DRYING WELL

Add more rinse aid and check the heater is working. The dishwasher uses steam to dry the dishes.

My Amana sofsound dishwasher is not draining

Hello,

When you open the washing machine lid and discover it full of water, it means it didn't drain before the spin cycle.

You may be confronted with a tub full of sopping wet clothes at an inconvenient time, but don't panic and call a repairman.

Chances are the trouble is with the drain hose or the pump and you can fix it yourself with just a few simple tools.
Difficulty: Moderately Challenging INSTRUCTION BELOW.

  1. 1 Look at the drain hose to make sure it isn't kinked or clogged. If there is a piece of clothing lodged in there, clear away the hose from the pump and yank the clothing out.
  2. 2 Take a look at the switch under the lid of the washing machine. If it doesn't click when you press it, it may be broken and the washer may stop during the drain cycle. Call a repairman to repair or replace the switch.
  3. 3 Examine the clothes tub and the outer tub of the washer for anything that may be stuck in there.
  4. 4 Open the main access panel of the washer and take out the large rubber hose connecting the pump to the lower part of the outer tub.
  5. 5 Check to see if there is a piece of clothing stuck in there. If so, use a pair of needle-nose pliers to grab the clothing and pull it through the port. If it is difficult to reach, you will need to take out the agitator, the top part of the outer cylinder, and the interior tub to grab it. Unless you have special skills and tools, you may want to call a repairman.
  6. 6 Inspect the pump for a clog or frozen pulley. To check if the pulley is broken or frozen, take the pump out and attempt to turn it manually with your hands. If it's stiff or appears frozen, install a new pump.

Thanks for visiting .

No power seen at controls.

We had the same problem less than a year after we got ours. After two visits from the repairman, and a better business bureau complaint, they finally told us that there was a small opening on the inside of the door that allowed steam to escape into the area where the main circuit board is housed, causing it to short out. Replacing the circuit board and running a bead of silicone along the gap solved the problem. Hope that helps some!

Amana ADB1200AWQ model dishwasher, built -in, bought replacement part for broken door lock handle. Any idea as to steps to replace it?

Just replace my door latch handle for the 4th time in 6 years. its very easy,,, you have the same as i do. latch and handle assembly i got from amana parts on the internet, # for part is W10130697. it is the same i think as a whirlpool part. call 877-827-5003 to order about 48 bucks. very easy to fix. Open dishwasher door and take out the tork screws ,you will see the latch with the 2 micro swithes on both sides, black on the right and white wires on the left. pull off the plugs , put the new door latch assembly in place and put the two plug bacl on micro switches, put back in all the tork scews and your set to go.... good luck... it is real easy.
