There is no sound from the speakers, external

First, take a good size battery ( I like using "C" size for a good volt) - take to wire and place on positive and one on the negative end. Once wires are attached, place one wire on the positive terminal on the speaker and the negative terminal - and listen for any sound. If you get sound (scratching sound) - your speakers are good. If this is the case. retrace your input/output connections. Also check the all devices are well grounded. GL

Usb device not recognized

It is a good possibility that the USB port is defective. You may try a different cable to see if it has the same results.

Alpine CHM-S601 cd changer acts like there are no disc's.

Disconnect the power for 3 minutes and then connected again if you still acting the same way does mean to see the changes Is broken
