tried with reset doesn't work, ok it could be the IR sensor at the front panel of the tv doesn't work. but before you replace it you need to ensure if your remote controller is working. have you tried to check the remote with camera trick just to know if the remote controller is sending light to the IR sensor of the tv.

ours did the same thing but kept the dvd, we had to replace it, dvd player gears went...

This is tough to diagnose because it could be the remote or the television. There are no listings for the remote. Check to see if there is a light on the remote that comes on when you press a button to show that it is sending. Check and see if there is a light on the monitor that shows if it is receiving a signal from the remote. Usually the remote fails first. You might want to try a universal smart remote to see if it can be programmed to activate the television.
