I have Dell Dimesion 4300S

Did you enable Copy NT Signature? If so, you need to unplug the old drive after cloning and BEFORE the first startup with the new drive. Two drives cannot use the same NT Signature on the same machine.

Windows 7 beta incompatible??

I have used acronis and win 7 with no issue.

Be aware though that win7 beta has a lot of versions so one may work fine and another maybe not.

As a Technet member I have the latest version and proper key etc.

Pirate versions may be subject to virus and other unwanted side effects.

How to remove Acronis OS Selector COMPLETELY?

You should have a shortcut item in your Start Menu > Acronis section named "... Acronis OS Selector". This launches the setup module allowing you to make whatever modifiations you desire to the OS Selector (i.e., "uninstall").

If you cannot locate the Start Menu shortcut, the EXEcutable it points to is named "OSSelectorSetup.EXE" (e.g., ...\Program Files\Acronis\...\OSSelectorSetup.exe). Simply search for and locate that filename, then launch it directly.

TIP: You may want to consider "deactivate" rather than "uninstall" (unless you''re sure you'll NEVER want use it in the furture).

Please post back if you have any further questions, or just to let me know how everything worked out.

I need acronis true image 11 home serial no

If you are installing a trial version of Acronis True Image Home 2011 or Acronis Disk Director 11 Home, you do not need a serial number.

If you have an OEM version of an Acronis product (e.g. preinstalled on your hard disk, notebook etc), please contact your OEM vendor for a serial key.

If you purchased your Acronis product online, then you should have received your serial number in an automatic E-mail that was sent to the E-mail address that you provided at the time of the purchase.

If you purchased your Acronis product offline at a retail store, then the location of the serial number depends on the package:
 • Boxed product, that consists of the CD, White CD Sleeve, Quick Start Guide. - The serial number sticker is affixed to the back of White CD Sleeve;
 • DVD Amaray Case, that consists of the CD and Quick Start Guide. - The serial number sticker is affixed inside the DVD case on right hand side. Directly above where the CD is held in place.
If you still cannot find your serial number, you can try contacting Acronis Customer Central here: http://www.acronis.com/support/index.html?ow=1

Email backup just sits there. Nothing happens. Try

My first suggestion is to uninstall / reinstall. If this is Vista.... Try running the install several times. I have seen cases where it does not report an error but does not completely install and running the install a couple of times helps.

How To Fix Your Unbootable Vista After Removing Acronis Software

Insert your Windows Vista DVD and boot up to the DVD boot menu.

Press OK to get past the language settings.

Choose Repair Computer.

Choose cancel if asked to run System Restore.

At the menu, choose Command Prompt. This will put you on a command line in the WinRE.

Enter "regedit" without the quotes.

Highlight HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (HKLM) in the left pane.

Go to the File menu and choose Load Hive.

In the source box, navigate to the drive where Vista is installed (C: in my case). Drill down to C:\Windows\System32\Config. Choose the "System" file (with no extension). Hit OK.

In the next window name the hive "Broken System" without the quotes.

Hit the plus next to HKLM. You will see a key named " Broken System".

Drill down to HKLM\Broken System\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}.

Look in the right pane for an Upper Filters line. If you see "snapman" without the quotes, you need to delete it.

Only delete snapman by using the Modify on the Edit menu entry. Make sure you do not delete any other Upper Filters in the list.

You should also check HKLM\Remote System\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{71A27CDD-812A-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F} for Upper Filter entries. If you see "snapman" remove it from there as well.

Now unload the Remote System hive. Highlight it in the left pane. Go to the File menu and choose Unload Hive. This will save the changes in the Vista registry.

Exit the command prompt and hit Restart.
