Hi,
I was trying to juice
Hi there,
It seemed that when the kale got stucked it caused the juicer to either exert more power than its supposed to causing problems inside the unit.
1. Open the unit up and please check the fuse make sure that it has not blown due to possible excess electricity it received.
2.Check if the gears of the juicer are in place and that they are not damaged.
3. Using a power tester check the switch and the pc-board because some capacitors may have been damaged and those needs to be replaced as well.
If you're uncomfortable doing that then you may need the help of a local technician so they can do all the testing and the replace the parts that needs to be replaced for you.
Side note: Consider the price of getting this unit repaired and getting a new one. If the price will be half or more of what a new one would cost it would be better to let it go and get a brand new juicer.
Hope this helps!

I bought a used Acme
Just the opposite. The only way I get by the vibration is with an old worn blade which
I sharpen with a drill using a small bit. Installed a new blade, once, and the juicer took
off on me. Even the pro's have trouble with the vibration issue. If trouble persists, try
a pulp ejecting type.
I have an acme juicerator
You may have tripped the reset button on the bottom of the juicer, just push
it back in. They really don't have to warm up, just give it a few seconds to reach
speed.

The entire unit is vibrating
This is the nature of your machine, it does not eject the pulp, so it will tend to
go out of balance. Stay away from soft stuff like oranges. Watched a guy on
you tube demonstrating an Omega 1000, essentially the same as Acme, and
he had a hard time with the vibration. Nothing softer than apples and try to feed
it continuously (no gaps), slowly and evenly. Good luck.
My #6001 juicer ( old!!) will make a very loud
No overhaul. These juicers do not eject the pulp and are subject to vibration especially if you
install a new blade. I've had one for 21 years and get by using a worn blade which I sharpen
with an electric drill using a small bit.
