Initially try to enter a factory settings if not helped try to play a dvd movies etc on your TV,,if the problem is still there you have bad T-con board..Just replace it to fix the problem,,

Not likely as Hisense is a company who uses odd remote codes---set made in China and has gone out of business at least two times.

Sounds like not only is your backlight going but you have a bad case of dead pixels. You can do 1 of 3 things...

Turn your unit in under warranty for repair

If your unit is no longer in warranty you can brave taking it apart and replacing the glass unit and back lights yourself... Find the make/model of the screen after removing the plastic casing and type it in on either of the bottom sites,

Or last option, sell it on ebay and lie lie lie about the quality of the unit and make sure that somewhere on the listing you put as is

Are you saying there is a blue 3 kv rated cap in the unit? Most LCD sets (that is what is listed here) do not have any caps rated that high voltage wise.You would need to id that cap---3 KV means rated at 3,000 volts and usually will be markings like 104 j etcIf different model/brand than indicated here let me know.that cap will have a location number printed on top of the board next to or under it like C706 etc.

I had the same problem. I replaced the EEPROM marked U33 (it's a 24C32 in a smd package) and the TV worked fine.
BEFORE replacing the EEPROM you have to go into the Service Menu (hold down VOL- and CH+ on the local command) and take a note of all the values, specially the R,G,B gain and R,G,B bias, in the "standard" picture mode as well as in the "Cold" picture as well as in the "Warm" picture mode.

(if you forgot to do this, here are my default values:

R gain: 434
G gain: 482
B gain: 484
R bias: 270
G bias: 270
B bias: 264

then you put the "Cold" image mode and set again those values, increasing the G bias to about 300 and the B bias to about 310.

then put the "Warm" image mode and set again those values, increasing the R bias to about 300 and the G bias to about 280)

The other values such as brightness, contrast etc, have to be left at 50.
