It sounds like the power supply in your computer has gone bad. Thats the box you plug the power cable into in the back of the computer. It looks like you should be able to get a standard ATX power supply and replace it.. or have someone do it for you. You can get one for no more than $50, sometimes less.

The drives will usually come with a utility to copy your old drive to the SSD and make the SSD the bootable drive. You just need to have both drives connected at the same time. Check for download instructions in the packaging with the drive or check the manufacturers website.

OK YOU NEED TO FIND OUT YOUR BIOS type (manufacturer and version) You mght find it by asking Acer support (you could also ask what the six beeps means straight off). Then go here http://www.bioscentral.com/ and see if can the beep code list for your BIOS. Please Pull out the memory stick and clean it with eraser. Clean only the gold color part. And then put it back again and you are done.
