Hi,

yes it is. just make sure that you order the right one. the best way of doing so is to take off your current keyboard and on the back of it you will find the serial number. you need this because you might order the "fitting" keyboard but with different keyboard layout ()qwerty, azerty, russian, spanish, german...
But if you go for the serial number, you will get the same one like you have now.
I don't know my is a problem or not. I'm using a
That laptop is very old. If this is running windows, and you have been running the latest windows updates like you should, then it really isn't powerful enough for today's stuff. You could find a fine re-manufactured laptop running windows for $250.
How i can boot from usb
if you want to boot a computer from the usb you will have to go into the bios and set the boot media ( HD, CD, USB) so that the computer knows where to search for the os.
Acer 5620z screen going blank but motor still running
There are more than one possibility for this scenario (settings, cable, lamp):
•The display is not set as the primary or active display (such as is the case when set to view in projector-only display mode). Many laptops have either a Function key (such as F4) or a hotkey expressly set aside for presentations (usually at the top right with two other hotkeys). Newer operating Windows systems allow for changing the display mode through holding a Windows key down while pressing the [P] key.
•The monitor data cable is damaged. Sometimes, this can be tested by changing the vertical angle of the display to see if the display shows. (In this case, replace the display data cable.)
•The lamp inside/behind/above/below the display could be going out. (In this case, replace the display lamp.)
The easiest way to test & to give a temporary workaround would be to hook an external monitor to the laptop & to turn on both devices to ascertain if the video output shows on it.
If all else fails, then take it to a technician because the system board could be bad.
I forgot my setup password
google TravelMate reset BIOS password or "System Password". Some laptops have a button to push and hold somewhere on the laptop or under the keyboard. Others require going to a service center for a hard reset of the bios - no info will be lost on the hard drive. Also, some systems use a generic password like" "admin" or administrator etc.
Work recovery system, it wants to access recovery options, but i cant remember password
reboot laptop and keep tapping the f8 key while its booting.
you will get an options screen, select ''boot into safe mode''.
it should then boot up in safe mode, once on desktop go to start menu>>all programmes>>and look for the acer recovery tools...ity will be their as all acers have these tools.
in the recovery tool, you will have the following options.
factory restore computer = thios will erase all your files from the hard drive and reinstall windows again, once done it will be the same as when you first bought it and took it out of the box.
or..restore windows files and settings only = this restores the windows files system so as to fix the errors that are causing problems, none of your personal files will be erased or lost and will still be on the computer once the operation completes.
i would go with the first option and do a factory reset. If you have personal files you want to keep, then when booted up into safe mode yhou can copy those files to a usb thumb drive or a CD or whatever. Once you have your files saved, perform the factory restore instalation.
Or you could just boot into safe mode, and if you get onto desktop, goto start menu>>all programmes>>>accesories>>system tools>> back up and recovery. From their, select ''system restore''...it will show a list of restore points with dates next to them. Their will also be a box unticked that says ''show more restore points''. tick that box so all restore dates and points are showing.
Then select a restore point and date about 5 to 7 days before the problem occured.
so if the problem happend on say the 7th november.....restore it back top around the 30th october.
this will just undo any system changes that are causing errors and get your pc working again without affecting any of your personal files.
if all the above fail, you will have to reinstall windows yourself, just download the iso from microsoft website
download the 'windows 7 usb tool' from microsoft website.
insert a USB thumbdrive at least 4GB in size.
run the windows usb tool and follow the on screen instructions which will then
load the windows downloaded file onto your usb drive.
once done, reboot pc and hit f12 (or whatever key it is for your model to enter the boot options menu - a quick search on google will tell you the key for boot menu if f12 or esc key do not work).
once in boot options menu..select your usb device to boot from and press enter.
windows will then install on your laptop.
once on desktop, goto start menu and eright click on ''computer''.
select 'properties'
then select 'device manager....and cxheck to see what drivers may be missing.
once you see what drivers are missing...goto acer support.cm (you may have to use another computer to do this if your ethernet or wi fi driver is missing and you cant access the internet.
once on acer website, selecter the drivers and manuals tab......it will then ask you to input your computer model number, brand, operating system.....then it will give you a list of all the drivers for your machine...now download the ones you need, then install them by opening the file and double clicking the ''set up .exe' file.
once all drivers are in reboot nachine and then wait for wqindows update to kick in and apply the neccesary updates.
