does the drive work in other systems. what is the error is it windows error driver or is it a error from the drive . many drives are fake , manyyyyy drives it will have a brand name on it an might be real. if no name its bogus.

When you boot up to the log in screen type in administrator as the user to log in once you have your computer running again you have to take control (administrator)control panel user accounts on the users tab,click the name of the computer administrator you can change the password there or if your computer has a system restore you can restore it to an earlier date which will have your personal settings or during the boot up process you will see on the screen for a short amount of time press a certain key to enter set up

Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS scroll down to set user password or supervisor password you can change or remove your password from there

The error PXE-E61: Media test failure usually means the hard disk has failed or the hard disk needs re-seating or the disk controller is faulty. First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. Hi, If your laptop is under warranty or has a service contract, I would send it in for service according to the terms of sale. If your ac jack is loose you should check the cord in case the end is damaged and if your power cord isn't damaged you need to check the screws and connection and that's going to require removing the battery and the bottom cover of your laptop. It isn't difficult to replace most of the hardware in the Acer laptop, but you'll be exposing circuit boards and wires and there are all kinds of things that can be damaged if you're not careful, so I don't recommend taking apart your laptop unless you are certain you can replace the hardware without damaging other sensitive components. I really suggest that you have someone qualified in computer repair take a look at your laptop. Also, once you open the back cover or take apart anything on your laptop you will void your warranty. most laptops have stickers and tabs placed on your laptop and once you remove the sticker it causes damage to the sticker and it lets the manufacturer know that you've attempted to repair it and that voids the warranty.
