Wood glue sticks are hot glue sticks which are specifically designed for use with wood (such as for glueing together a birdhouse).

Our Polygun TC was left
Hi,
The dark molasses is the old glue that is in the gun that was "cooked" I don't think the tool is burnt out. I would take a shot at pushing sticks into the gun while it is heated up until the glue that comes out of the tip turns clear. Then the gun should now be "cleaned"
Then unplug it, so that it cools down. After it is cooled , you will be able to remove the old dried up goo from around the tip so that it is completely clean.
WARNING: DO NOT IMMERSE THE GUN IN WATER
The gun is not really designed to be disassembled and cleaned.
The next time you use it, it should be fine.
Hope this helps,
Mark
How do i insert glue stick in to my emhardt
Insert the glue stick into the back of the gun. After doing this plug in the gun and allow it to heat up. When the gun reaches the correct heat level you will be able to pull the trigger of the gun which will pull the stick into the gun. This will only happen if the gun is hot enough.
Where can I send my guns for service?? We use
These are nothing but large resistors. If the guns have failed to heat - the cost of replacing the heat element is more than the purchase of a new unit.

When I had floorboards put in, my little boy
To remove the glue - assuming it is in fact a heat glue - you need to heat it and get it to stick to something else.
Normally you put a brown paper bag over the stuff and iron it with a normal domestic iron. If the surface is *really* uneven then heating it gently with a hot air gun then pressing a paper bag on top will work as well.
Use brown paper because it is more absorbent than other papers. Don't use newspaper because it has a habit of transferring ink to the other surface. You can also use a piece of cotton sheeting and even kitchen towel works too.
If you're talking about the "basically flat but slightly uneven surface" of a tile used on the kitchen floor, I'd probably use a couple of sheets of kitchen towel with a good texture pattern. Press a hot iron on top to transfer the heat and the glue will come up easy.
A final wipe with mineral turpentine will help to remove the last of the waxy residue.

Metal posts to fused glass earrings
Use a 2 part epoxy. It's more work but it will work and will last forever. If you get it in a dual syringe dispenser it's not a whole lot of work to use as you just squeeze a small amount on a sheet of paper, mix it with a popsicle stick or something else disposable, then apply and wait for it to cure.
Glue Gun Troubleshooting
1. Insert your wax stick into a standard sized glue gun. The fit may be tight. The more wax you use, the smoother the fit.
2. Use a second wax stick in the gun to help advance the first, if needed.
3. Heat the gun up to temperature.
4. Do a few test pulls on the gun to get a feel for the quantity of wax you would like to use with your seal. (Two good pulls of the trigger will produce a full seal for the larger sealing coins.)
5. Wait for 10-15 seconds, then press your seal firmly into the wax before it hardens.
6. Lift the seal slowly off the wax. If it comes away and the wax is still quite soft, wait a little longer before pressing the seal down.
